Margaret Heron worked behind the scenes for Lawrence Welk from 1961 until Mr. Welk passed in 1992. She was his main personal assistant taking care of several aspects of The Lawrence Welk Show. After the show went to PBS, she continued managing The Welk Group and was very involved in the newly packaged weekly show on Public Television.
