We did a trip from Civitavechia to Rome on our own when we were on our first ever cruise - wouldn't do it again. Rome is a wonderful city but too far for a cruise destination imho. I'd love to visit Rome again but either pre cruise, post cruise or independently of cruising for me. We too enjoyed Nonnas on Explorer II so I'm pleased they've retained it as a venue on the Voyager - just even bigger and paired with Abuellas 👍

Yes Rome is definitely better before or after. Nonnas and Abueulas is a great combination!

Citivitavecchia was one of our first ports on one of our first cruises and we did so much research and ended up taking the Rome on Your Own Tour which basically got you to Rome and back. We had to make a tough choice to see the Vatican or other stuff (highlights) and chose the other stuff and hope to go back to see the Vatican one day. It was a full day but we loved seeing everything we could that day and of course, as others have said, you can go many times and never see it all.

Never tried Kora La yet, it looks delicious, I must try the duck/melon combo Paul clearly enjoyed 👍.....luckily we've pre booked it for sep on the Voyager 😃 - looking forward to it even more now thanks!

Someone told us that they had seen one on another ship but I can’t remember which one it was.

I’m overall so impressed with the calibre of this ship. The one thing I’m wondering - how consistent did it feel with the quality of the other Marella ships? From what I’ve seen, Voyager looks a ‘cut above’ some of the others, but keen for your thoughts!

From a decor point of view obviously just been upgraded so will be fresh and updated in comparison to the rest. However service was exactly the standard we were used too!

We are still in Alaska lol! They will be out around end of August after our Marella videos are all completed.

Hi Paul and Carole, loving the videos, very informative/entertaining. My wife and I are going on the same cruise in September, we were wondering if there were many people in fancy dress for the theme nights at 'The Exchange'? We've booked for the heist and didn't want to be the only ones :)
