We purchased the Best of Kuala Lumpur tour for £61 each prior to boarding the Marella Discovery 2 on our Fascinating Far East cruise of South East Asia. It took 90 minutes to get from Port Klang to Kuala Lumpur and our first stop was the Petronas Towers. We had about 15 minutes here to look at the towers from the ground and take photos. We then headed over to the KL Tower where we queued for 20 minutes to go through bag security and then wizzed our way up to the observation area for fabulous views over the city. We had about 20 minutes on the observation deck before we had to head down to get back on our coach to head over for lunch at a hotel. After this we visited the Batu Caves and spent 90 minutes here exploring the spectacular Hindu Temple and its surroundings. A highlight was watching the playful monkeys enjoying themselves. Another 90 minutes coach journey back to our cruise ship and a wonderful day in Kuala Lumpur. Was it worth it? Did it offer good value for money? Did it surprise us? Watch and find out....

I did the same three ‘tourist’ visits when I was there. I walked between each in the heat and humidity of KL thinking ‘it can’t be that far’! Great place to visit.

Great vlog. The caves look amazing. Sadly, don`t think I could do them now. A bit wobbly with heights, never used to be, think it`s an age thing. Definitely a no no for the missus, she hates heights. To her credit we`ve been lucky enough to have done a few.

As always, very professionally done. I believe the monkeys grab mobile phones so they can exchange them for bananas as they know panic sets in if we think we have lost our phone.

Thank for sharing, we did the Landmarks of Kuala Lumpur, the only mistake we made was when we stopped in Cambodia during the cruise, we stayed in port, and followed some other people on the same cruise to the nearest hotel, we were fed up with being hassled , we heard from some people came back from trips being ill.

@@TravellingLightLisa We would have preferred to have an extra day in Singapore or another place in Thailand , which would would have got had in 2021 had it not been for Covid19 , never mind me and my parents still have plenty of places in the world to visit

Thanks for this next edition of your trip vlogs. Shame that timings restricted your chance to fully explore what seems a thoroughly fascinating place. Last week it was sweaty hands; this week, an allergy. I hope these have all been declared on your medical travel insurance 😂
