Here’s a look at how a fly cruise and embarkation works with Marella Cruises. Loved yet another one of your Video Vlogs, so glad you boys had a good start to your cruise. MEX2 is a lovely ship, sailed on her 3 times. excited for this one!!!! Cant wait for my next Marella cruise in 3 weeks, this time on Disco, Cant say im looking forward to travel day though!, worried i may need a full day to recover !

The travel day was worth it for sure although it didn’t start too well for us as you’ll find out 😂 You’re going to have a great time I’m sure 🥂
We went on this cruise last November; the only thing we didn’t like was the wait on the shuttle bus in the heat waiting for passport control as there were about six coaches in front of us and they went into passport control one coach load at a time, it took us from airport to ship about 3 hours 😢

The first video of yours I’ve seen and I’m now about to watch all the others !! Very good 👍. We are going on this ship in October, our first cruise . Can anyone say what documents and tests you need at the moment plse . Also how is the ship for accessibility? 😉

Hi Julie! Great to have you here! Thank you so much and hope you enjoy! I think requirements are all changing but on this cruise I needed LFT in advance / proof of vacccination / proof of insurance. Accessibility? I wouldn’t like to say as j didn’t really look out for this. The corridors are wide and plenty of lifts but don’t recall hoists into pools

Going on this ship in august, never done a tui cruise but lots of others. When you get your cruise card, do you get a lanyard or anything to wear it? Like princess last year gave us one to put the Medallion in and NCL and P&O gave us a lanyard for the card- but haven’t seen any mention of this for tui. If not I’ll buy my own to bring as being in a wheelchair, it saves a lot of fiddling about etc. Thanks for the great video, I’ll be recording one for my other channel showing how it is for disabled people sailing.

Oh wow P&O have never given us lanyards over the last 12 years 😆 No lanyard from Marella I’m afraid.

Outstanding video- brings back great memories of my recent trip on the Ex2. Was disappointed that your flight was delayed, but glad that you had the 787 Dreamliner (which we didn't have last June). If you have the premium AI upgrade can you get soft drinks to take off the ship for excursions, or do they open the cans?

Good question - never actually wanted / needed to take drinks off with us so I can’t answer that accurately I’m sad to say. Glad you had a great time on board X2! We are looking forward to our next cruises with Marella ❤️
Very good video! Could you please tell me did they scan QR code on your Covid vaccine certificate or just check the valid date? I’m not sure I have to print it out or show them the certificate on my phone.

Thanks for another fantastic video Jamie - this looks like it was a brilliant embarkation day (other than the delay with the flight 😬)! Once you get to your cabin and before the ship leaves can you leave the ship. I noticed a supermarket where the ship was.

Did you have to do a covid test in the port area or not, I know it wasn’t in the video but I’m interested to know as we are travelling on discovery 2 for 2 weeks on Friday. Deck 4 as well 🤞

Did you have to do any pre-departure covid lateral flow test….. I am due to take a Mediterranean cruise next week. The TUI website say no test, the Marella website says take a test. On the phone they said no and I called back again and they said yes……

We loved our cruise but this time the cocktails where fake and revolting , I'm talking about classic cocktails like Cosmo, p martini margarita made on the cheap with cordial please check them out

Hi Jamie, do we still need to take proof of COVID vaccinations, I have researched this & it appears that it is no longer required, however just checking whether or not you had to show it at embarkation?

We had to show ours on embarkation but things could be different now - everything changes so quickly
