Love that there are up and coming guitarists continuing the SRV legacy. Marcus plays with a lot of soul, and his technique is pretty special.

May be playing all of SRV’s licks but has so much more to his rep. Marcus has a very distinct way of playing this music. If you can’t hear it than that’s either a choice or you’re not paying enough attention.

I am the biggest Stevie ray Vaughan but listen to Marcus I’m just starting to think this could be a Guitar God in the making

There is nothing like seeing him live. Instant chills. He is phenomenal.

Savant! Is it possible that we are witnessing a new GOAT? The mastery and fusing of so many styles and genres in someone still so young is literally breathtaking. Can’t wait to see where Marcus goes from here - gonna be some ride!

That first minute and a half set one of my eyebrows on fire.

Absolutely smoking artist and band and a great recording!

Truly epic... Thank heavens that there still are musicians as "real" and gifted as Marcus (and his band as well)!

Doesn't matter which one he picks up he knows where all the sweet spots are and pulls all the character out of each one. Don't know if I've ever seen anyone pull this much range out of a Tele

after it's done he's like "no big deal".

I've been a live music fanatic for several decades, and have seen a lot of fantastic bands live, and Marcus King and the musicians in his band hands down best show in the country right now, both their playing and their engergy. Go see them, they'll knock your socks off and keep you energized for months afterwards. By far the best live show I've seen in a long time. Psychedelic blues gospel soul southern rock with horns, can't be beat.

Where's Michael Palmisano when you need him to help me figure out what the hell happened at 6:40! And again around 7:30. Marcus started punching in the cheat codes around those times. Oh Mylanta! Yes to that Tele buzz at the end of his solo around 8:30!

Looks like a fiesta red American original series. They came out in 2017. Right around when Marcus was seen starting to use this bad boy. Could be a custom shop. But I think it’s an AM Original

I love Marcus and I feel he is a great guitarist who happens to play the hell out of some blues. I mean The greatest gift ever given to white folks is a little funky soul music t remind you how they worked their ass off and got nothing in return but some Blues. I think we owe a little more than that to a gift this contagious and spint tingling. But that is just me

I first saw him live at SxSW in Austin 1/2 a dozen years ago or so, been seeing him a lot since then, He doesn't stray away from the South East much, stays busy playing live there. Last saw him open for Gary Clark Jr again in Austin in March. Catch him live if you can.
