When she ran away, she should’ve just told him. He might try to stop her, but at least he’d know. She had to run away from her mom, I know, but Marcus is understanding, he wouldn’t be like Hunter, who’d most likely discourage her from leaving. Marcus would’ve gone with her, or at the least he would understand and try to help her.

I’m sorry love them both and love them together but it’s not just her fault like everyone keeps saying like I feel like she would have stayed if Marcus didn’t say it was a mistake like that just pushed her over the edge and she wanted someone to stand with her after she had just lost all of her friends but the one person she thought she could count on betrayed her so o kind of see where she is coming from.

this reminds me of smth that happened to me. welcome to my rant. i liked this girl’s brother for a WHILE and she knew about it but she’d purposely try to make me feel bad by telling me when he’d be hanging out w a girl or saying that he’d NEVER like me. then when me and him finally started talking we didn’t tell her at first bc it wasn’t any of her business. she never tells me about all the guys she’s talking to. it doesn’t matter that they’re siblings bc she doesn’t talk to him EVER. and when we told her we wanted to hang she went CRAZY. she took it so personally and immediately was like “i’m never talking to you AGAIN.” she went to every single one of her friends (also mine) and started talking trash about me and now i have no friends bc no one ever asked for my side of the story. she said i went behind her back, which i didn’t bc i still told her and all we did was text and go to the mall one time. she kept telling me that he would cheat on me and that he only would see me as a friend. then she blocked me on everything. and what i don’t get is why she was so mad. me liking her brother she never interacts with has NOTHING to do w her but she made the entire situation about HER. she acted like we were both out to get her. and she was trying to tell me who i could and couldn’t date, same with him and that’s no fair. i hope y’all understand me

I think he’s actually so sweet and tries to do the right thing with the people he gets in a relationship with but messes up sometimes. I feel like there are so many emotions behind why Marcus said what they did was a mistake. He gave her a way out because he felt he didn't deserve her. He thought she would be happier with Hunter, and just wanted her to be as happy as possible, even if he would have to suffer.

After having finished the season i feel like she didn't deserve him. It was clear from the beginning that he liked her, he was a virgin and is there for her the whole time. She hurt him many times with remarks about Hunter and stuff, she was like playing with his feelings and never asked about him, like he always cared for her feelings and stuff.

I do agree with you but him with Padma was a pre low blow to begin with. And I feel added fuel to her fire to utilize hunter all the same. While he was dumb enough to keep stringing along Padma too. I was really proud of him when he did decide to end things with Padma and realized what he actually wanted before she could.. But then it was a total dumb, young guy move for him to call it a mistake like that in front of everyone. Ginny was harsh and extreme, at the end with him.. Especially. Considering how their relationship had grown on the low. I am definitely more team Marcus than Ginny. But I can see why each went the way they did. They both had dumb moments but you also need to factor in, these are high school kids. And all high school kids are like that. Too.

I only think if he would have been clear about her from the beginning she wouldnt have gone for Hunter. So it was his fault to complicate everything at the beginning. i think it's because it was going on behind her back. i know that when it happened the 1st time, she wasn't friends with Max nor was she with Hunter, but i feel that she could've at least told her and resolved the issue rather than keeping it behind her back. i know that it shouldn't be a "big deal", but it probably made her a bit uncomfortable and betrayed that Ginny didn't bring this up and let it happen twice. she might've stopped it at times, but it doesn't excuse the fact that she did it the second time while being friends with Max. Furthermore, Abby knew this happened, but avoided telling Max because of her break-up with Sophie to protect her from adding more negativity from what she's going through already and this probably made the situation worse. Ginny is not a bad person, she made mistakes, but no one should be hating on Hunter or Marcus. this was her first time having real friends and it could be hard for her to fully except her feelings and do the right thing which would be: letting her friend know and her partner know how she feels about another guy, not last minute. she was in the moment which is almost impossible to do it through stress revolving around hee family issues and relationships

if they cancel it bc of Taylor Swift i will cry because grownish has 3 seasons where in every episode they call out at least one celebrity so she needs to relax and realise what happens when you are in the spotlight. Netflix should jsut apologise and continue to show

Ugh how am I supposed to go about my life with that ending😭 Why did he say it was a mistake!? Why did she have to run away without telling him!? Ughh her whole world was imploding but she still had him, they could have talked it over😭 and her mom is a crazy from her trauma but she did it all for her😓

I literally love this series and Marcus and Ginny are so sweet together. I love the scenes where Marcus looked jealous at Ginny and Hunter 😅😍 I hope so that there is coming a Season 2 soon and that they will end up together 🙏🥰❤️

She was more worried about having a boyfriend than about who that would be. Hunter wanted to be her boyfriend from the jump, with zero chemistry... Only thing he can do is grand gestures to an almost unknown person. Marcus had to process that actually maybe he wanted a relationship, and Ginny didn't expect it to come true.

If there's a season 2 and I don't see a scene of him confessing that it wasn't a mistake I'm gonna be so upset

There probably won't be one thanks to Taylor Swift and her dumbass fandom who try to cancel the show over a joke they made about her. What we need to do now is to go to RottenTomatoes and Metacritic and give the show 100% or 10/10 ratings to save it! Please help, as every single voice counts!!

Ginny was selfish. She constantly blamed others for her mistakes and could never just acknowledge her faults. She was rude even when people didn't deserve it. Like saying Hunter didn't have it as bad as she did, and Marcus was a loser. She expects forgiveness but won't do the same for others. She did both hunter and Marcus wrong.

I don’t think Ginny ever technically cheated on Hunter anyways. The first time they hooked up, hunter and her weren’t together yet. The second time, they already fell out. I mean ig you can call the texts cheating if you want to but 🤷🏾‍♀️ cause it was just sexual talk. Not proffessing love

Also her attitude with her mother. The wholeee show it was just horrible. It’s justified considering all the lies, but the way it was written makes the mothers actions minuscule and undeserving of the hate/Attitude from Ginny. They really played up the grumpy teenage daughter and yet not a single one of her friends said she was treating her mother really badly? Idk, that needs to be fixed imo too

She was selfish at times amd tbh i'd be mad if my new bestfriend didn't tell me she hooked up with my brother yk? Max doesn't make it about her, it's just because this happened behind her back. ik that when it happened the first time she wasn't dating Hunter nor was she friends with Max, but she should've let her know so it wouldn't be an issue later. *my opinion*
