Holy crap! I'm only three songs in and I love this guy and this band so much. I was just thinking how they sounded like Akae Beka. The lead singer sort of chants like Vaughn used to and the songs are long and loose. Roots! ♥️💛💚

@@rymeyflow947 I understood Midnite and Akae Beka just fine. Saw them about a dozen times and traveled all over the Northeast to watch them play. Midnite was my favorite band and all I listened to for years. I met Vaughn in Stowe Vermont after a show and chatted with him for a while. But he's gone now and all I'm saying is that this band is reminiscent of Akae Beka and I enjoy listening to them.

You guys should have seen Marcus Gad this year at Rototom Lion Stage. Wicked! It was packed! Def next year main stage. Roots reggae music goes on!

I must respectfully disagree, I like these guys a lot in their own right but Vaughn Benjamin (RIP) was a lyrical and spiritual genius and Midnite was as heavy as it gets. Having said that I love any heartfelt and original reggae and the tribe is definitely that.
