Don't let his easygoing nature fool you, Marco Joubert is one of SA's top XCO riders and riding bike is in his blood as you will hear in the video. He is a 3rd generation competitive cyclist and on top of that he's been riding since a very young age, even before mountain biking took off in SA.
Some of his achievements include:
- Top 20 overall finish at the 2018 Absa Cape Epic
- 2016 Olympic Games shortlist for MTB,
- Podiums at many of South Africa's top cycling events
The 2020 Olympics is around the corner and it's Marco's dream to represent South Africa. He's hard work could pay off, but time will have to tell.
