Spanish guitar playing is a whole another thing. It's much faster, there is a lot of tapping and you have very good reach to hit the notes. A great guitar player will struggle with flamenco guitar. It's very different

I LOVE how he just added one of the hardest guitar pieces in there (Asturias). He is REALLY good and probably the most talented person on this show. If I was a judge I would’ve given this kid the golden buzzer.

Man agreed. I don't understand why he didn't get that golden buzzer.. WAY less talented ppl get it. I don't see how any other contestant is even in the same league as this kid.

I am spanish and he played Leyendas Asturias. I play the guitar and its so difficult in the normal version. The version he played is extremely difficult. He got a real talent.

He only played the intro to Asturias really. Sure he made it more difficult, but I feel like (with my experience playing classical and fingerstyle guitar) that learning all of Asturias would be much more difficult than learning this. At least for me it would be.

He combined Asturias with other techniques making it more difficult as it is in the original beginning. Similar to the original work, he also repeated it faster which isn't a big deal - the runs were more impressive for that matter. However, this was not about an homage to flamenco, making it more musically or more diffucult. It was about making it more flashy so AGT could present him as a talent. He also lost the spirit of the original piece and restricted his playing to "louder" and "faster". Tapping and percussion just are more showy than dynamics, pizzicato or expression. I disliked his "interpretation" but at least he is more talented than a lot of people in the show and it probably was his best shot to make it further. To be honest I feel like he didn't keep his promise though as there are many "very, very difficult" techniques in flamenco that he dodged.

Is the 'guitar' a woman?

The problem with these talent shows is that they want you to STEP IT UP every single time, while the singers just need to choose another song. This leaves guitarists, violinists, dancers, etc. completely behind. How do you step up after this? Break the guitar with your head. Assemble it, and start playing again? Just notice that almost all winners of these talent shows are singers.

altho the fact that he got how far he did with jus a guitar and literally not following the norm of "guitar + singing" to try and serenade or move the audience(not saying thats a bad thing)and just having real fun and playing something that the audience and judges would enjoy is something u dont always see that often

There is a video of him playing "i think he was like 15 at the time" in a class room with other guitar students watching. You should check out.. He was a prodigy then and that video showed how impressive he is on the guitar more than this one..AS a guitarist of 30 yrs, and I can also play some drumming on the guitar while I play.. I can tell you he makes me feel embarrassed as he is light years away from anything I could do. lol

This song is called Asturias and its anyway one of the most difficult songs to play on guitar and this guy had also added tones of extra difficulty in his performance and he played it without even sweating a bit...almost a miracle !

This guy is pure talent.

This guy is one of the most talented people I’ve ever seen.

How is he not recognized well like bruh he's a literal genius he deserves all prestigious awards like someone give him a Nobel prize or something bruhhh

I don’t want to argue but calling it natural talent seems like a bit of a cop out. I guarantee he wasn’t born able to play guitar and he probably practices unreal amounts of hours to be this good. Anybody can be amazing but natural talent is rarely why people get where they do, in my opinion

Sorry , he is neither natural born talent, nor raw talent, he WORK THAT OUT, murdering that guitar since he was a small child. He built that guitar from scratch, because normal instruments weren't enough from him. And like I always said, best classical instrument musicians come from Poland, best ballet dancers from Russia.

This is the Reason Why this show should Exist...🔥🔥🔥

This guy is better live than recording, man his performance is absolutely amazing, i can't even describe how he inspires me to work on my hobbies he's a genius

Man actually just played a godly version of asturias, props to him, the song on its own is hard enough

He’s humble and blisteringly fast. He is a true talent and deserves far more than this show. Somebody give this man an empire

I just looked at my guitar and it gave me the 'Don't even think about it' look.

Well, he didn't win, but he doesn't need to. Barring any tragedy, this young man will be entertaining us for his entire life. A very well paid and sought after life. 👏

This was best ever performance by any musician in AGT

His music makes me cry. It speaks to the soul.

Prime example of not just playing music but being connected to it. Hes not even watching what he is doing, he just lets it flow through him and out to his instrument. Theres playing then there p l a y i n g and instrument. Incredible

I watched quite a few good young guatarists playing so far.. they're all talented but, this guy is very very different. his style can eat you alive, so much passion and so aggressive, really love his performance.

I have watched this at least 100 times and it’s still good. This man needs to make it to the finals. If he doesn’t I will be very supposed he is extremely good.

It's incredible that he's only just graduated high school. He seems so put together, articulate, classy and mature. I'd put him more at 25 years old! And the talent. Goddamn.
