Eumir Marcial, the Philippine Olympian and one of Manny Pacquiao's newest MP Promotions fighter, shined in his professional debut as he outboxed Andrew Whitfiled by way of UD.
The highly touted prospect from the Philippines was recruited by the legendary Manny Pacquiao and is trained by the world-renowned Freddie Roach. Marcial, a native of Lunzuran, Zamboanga City, won every round against Whitfield, of Lewiston, Idaho, although each man landed their share of power shots.
The fight started quickly with the powerful Marcial standing his ground throwing left and right handed bombs while Whitfield answered in kind with a number of strong uppercuts of his own. Marcial started attacking to the body as well as the head in the second, slowing Whitfield's momentum and nearly closing his right eye by the end of the round.
By electing to go toe-to-toe, Marcial, who qualified for the 2020 Olympics before it was postponed and won the silver medal at the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships, made for an exciting action fight. The scores were 40-36 according to all three judges. Marcial threw 310 punches and landed 120. Whitfield threw 273 and landed 46.

I like Marciel's offense, his head movement however is almost non-existent, and he gets caught with his hands down at times. He needs to make defense a priority ASAP.

Amazon fight a lot like rock'em sock'em robots, the Filipino fighter was truly attempting to take yo head off & outstanding body work also!!!
I think marcial has so much confident that he have that power to absorb such heavy punches but of course always beware for a lucky punch. Congrats.

Andrew is very tough and has a tenacious fighting heart. I wish he finds a top trainer that can make him a champion in the future. Thank u both champs for giving us a very good fight!!

@@animosity8280 his skill sets are maybe weak but Andrew's physicality is strong.....his body and jaw is durable... Marcial KO'ed many guys at the amateurs with a head gear bruh... but andrew endure it like nothing

Marcial is a strong fighter... needs more conditioning... took too many shots, put those hands up... kinda looked a bit tired at the 4th round. Needs to show more promise, specially in front of coach freddie..

Good opponent choice for Marcial nothing easy and he had to work to get his win good fight

I love freddie Roach by representing Phillippines as a coach and a trainer
Marcial has top class punching speed with accuracy also excellent reflexes n reaction time which helps him very easy counter attack after defence. Retired Head Boxing Coach Team India in World Series of Boxing
If he continues like this, its going to be a short career for him.

Marcial is a good fighter but he needs to improve more on his foot work, speed and strategy for a bigger title to follow the ability of Pacquiao. So far i would not compare him to Pacquiao tallent in boxing. Congratulations for winning the fight.

Marcial looks good but looks very tired in the 4th round with his hands drooping. Hits pretty good but still got hit with some good ones that could result in a knockdown. with more stamina, he should be good as a professional. I wish him well and hope he will soon meet the GGG standard of hard jabs.
