Washington is a great city on so many levels (leaving aside the various low-lifes that also abound in it, most up on Capitol Hill and/or the White House). So much history, and so many things to see and do and eat and .... well, you know. Expensive -- no doubt about that. If you drive and park your pick-up truck on the street, you are sure to lose your side-view mirrors (I've lost three over three visits). But all Americans should go at least once, if they can. I was last there in April of 1993 for the March for Gay Rights in the Military.

If this is a serious question. There should be no reason to call them by their sexuality. Call them by their name because they are human too

If you're talking about one person you can say for example: "He is gay." or "He is a gay man" but if you're talking about multiple gay people you should say "They are gay" rather than calling them "gays" or "they are gays". You can also just say "LGBT people" or "He/She is LGBT". I wouldn't recommend using the term "homosexuals" it's outdated and coming from people who aren't LGBT it kind of has a negative connotation. You might hear a gay person call themselves "homosexual" but that's either a personal preference, or more often than not is being used in sort of a joking manner.
