I’m with you on inking lots of pens. I currently have all of my 70+ pens inked. I love being able to look at my collection and being able to pick whichever pen strikes my fancy at that moment.

You just named some of my favorite brands!! This is a pricey (but really fun) hobby! There are some great bargain pens out there too!

I absolutely love your selection of inks. I think we have very similar ink tastes! I typically don’t go for shimmer inks but that dusted truffle has me really wanting it! What a beautiful way to remember your dad. 💜

Sailor 5th anniversary and celadon cat are my favourite from the lineup, fine nib and light shading ink, my cup of tea.. They look beautiful together, it's a perfect match x

Loved how you did the larger swatches so we could see the shimmer and more of the shading. I think I want to do something like it when I ink a pen so I can start a currently inked journal. I have been just inking and not listing what ink I put in a pen. That works as long as you don't want to duplicate the same ink. I don't even clean a pen sometime and just change color and go. It is sometimes really interesting to see the transition color. If I like it well enough I know I can plan to try to mix up one close to the same color later. Sometimes when I don't like how light an ink shows up I will put a drop of something else to make it more readable. I like experimenting, it's how I'm wired. Fountain pens and inks are just so much fun!!! After this video I am going to go into my room and play and probably go to church tomorrow with about 5 colors on my hands. I could wear gloves but I don't really like them and what's the fun in that? My friends are used to my inky hands. In a day or two they go back to normal anyway.

When for the first time writing with a "SCRIBO" FEEL NOVELLO., I WAS STUNNED. THE BEST WRITING PEN EVER FOR MY TASTE BUD ! I HAVE A MONTBLANC 149, ITS WRITES LIKE A 10 CENT BEN FRANKLIN STORE COMPARED TO THE SCRIBO. SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER ! THEN ANOTHER QTY 6 NOW ! I OWN THE NEBULA 24. LIMITED TO 24.. VERY ADDICTING. I’d been on the hunt for the perfect ink for my 5th anniversary Sailor Shikiori and I just got a sample of Robert Oster Sydney Darling Harbor and I LOVE it!! Darker than Celedon Cat. It was a dry writer so I had a hard time with some inks. The RO has been great (8 also used a brass shim to make it less dry!)

Would love to see where/how you store all your inky and stationary goodies. I know you use totes/ pen cases etc but how do you store them in the room? I’m redecorating my craft room and would ideas :)

Great video. I bought the Hongdian on your recommendation and I love it! I also bought Celadon Cat due to all the hype around it last year. I have yet to fall in love with it….just a little bit too pale for me I think.

Ku-Jaku is one of my favorite inks. Sailor Shikiori Oka-yama is also a favorite I had it in a Carolina Pen Co (Jonothan Brooks) pen until recently. Thanks for the video.

Beautiful selections! I love the Scribo combo you made. The ink colour just makes the pen pop somehow.. I can't read lighter inks much, it tires my eyes a lot. So I personally don't use them for writing; they're great for painting though. And if you're comfortable writing and reading with them, more power to you! They look beautiful.. About the flex fine nib on your other scribo: I have the Feel Spiaggia Rosa with that nib (if you can still find it, I think you would love the Scribo Spiaggia Rosa btw) and I'm not exactly a flex nib person. I rarely use my flex pens really. But the scribo nib is very smooth compared to other 'flex' nibs (modern flex that is). I found out that if I use a juicier ink my pen performs wonderfully and it will give me a broader line in normal writing 😊. I enjoy this particular pen much more now. You might want to try that on your Maddalena. I have a Scibo Feel on the way with a 3B nib!! Soo excited about that one! İt will probably be a gusher and I love that.. And also since you like brown inks: did you try Pelikan Edelstein Smoke Quartz ink? İt's one of the 'ink of the year' inks (this is the ink in my Scribo with the fine flex nib. Works great) İt's a darker beautifully shading brown. My other fave is Akkermman Sbrebrown ink. My go to brownish orange is Monteverde Joy and if I want a good old brownish copper red I'll go for the Monteverde Copper Noir ink. One of the rare shimmer inks that I'll bother with is the Diamine Dusted Truffle. İt's just a beautiful ink and looks great in your line up as well with that Platinum

What nib size do you have on the Leonardo MZG Sand? It pairs so nicely with the Sailor ink you mentioned ☺

Thank you. That is a 14K Medium nib with an ebonite feed. It is my only gold nib Leonardo. It's really lovely.

Just saying, 13 pens in the month of Easter? Who will be your Judas, hope he does not reveal himself, lol. I got Central Park Green, as it reminds me of the roadtrip with my dad & brother. I intend to bring it with me to write my thoughts in my future trip to NYC to visit FPH, Yoseka, and the US Lamy flagship store.
