Hey Marc, my name is Chris from Spokane Washington. I've been a BIG Fan of you're Music for many years, & im a Fellow Guitarist.... I follow you pretty regularly here on KZread, & I'd like to ask you a Couple Questions regarding Picking Techniques that you apply in some of you're Tracks. I am Writing & recording a Instrumental Demo Tape, and could really use some professional advice from someone who knows what he is doing. Pertaining to Alternate Picking / Building Speed... Do you have any recommendations on learning proper techniques, or know any solid excercises to build progress / speed? Keep It HEAVY!! \m/()\m/

If you wanna build speed and play like the fast runs in this video do this in triplets picking all the notes but when you go from a to d use a down stroke and when you go from d to a string use up strokes E B G: D : 7. 7 8 10 A: 7 8 10 10 8 7 8 10 E:

I've been a fan of your solo records for like 12 years. Anyways, this was great and I can tell you've been practicing your ass off because it looks like you've hit a whole new level with your technique somewhere the last couple years which is incredibly to be this far in your musical career and still getting better and better....all the respect in the world to the hard work you're putting in behind the scenes as a guitarist marc.
