I've only used a lint roller for mine. I have not really had to clean any marks or dirt yet. Sorry!!
You’re the first person I’ve heard say that this bag can fit a 15” laptop. Also I really wanted to know if the bag can be carried under the arm, and you answered that, too. Thanks for your really thorough review; it helped me a lot when deciding whether to purchase!

I wouldn't think so. It is canvas, so it'll get wet, but the canvas is very thick. It would probably hold up okay in the rain, but not a deluge.

There’s a mini, a medium and a large. You have the medium. I want the warm sand color but I don’t want it to get dirty.

The sand color is very nice. Maybe use Scotchgard fabric protector on it? That has helped keep some of my bags cleaner.
