I first heard this song when I was 9 years old. My uncle drew my attention to the world of Western music unintentionally (I'm from India and western music was around me a lot but I didn't care much for it), and this was how it started - I heard it and was immediately mesmerised. Although younger me loved the melody and Marc Anthony's voice overall, I did not have much comprehension of the lyrics, and neither had I watched the video. But my affinity towards this song opened doors to different genres of western music and now, 20 years later I'm a hardcore music enthusiast (for lack of a better word) and I must say there's no song quite like "When I dream at night", and I still feel the same way everytime I hear it. But man, I'd love to truly relive the moment I had first heard it.

When my handsome boyfriend and I first met each other in Italy a few years ago, he immediately started to sing this song to me in front of everyone, causing me to feel embarrassed and cover my face in shyness with my fair and lovely hands. Afterwards, I didn't speak to him for many months. But soon afterwards, I secretly started to like him because of his lovely personality and his good looks. It's only when our college friends difficultly arranged for us to meet again at somebody's wedding (he insisted) that we cleared up the misunderstanding. And today, we're inseparable. ❤
