He left a mark because he was so good at his craft but he suffered battled his demons and was human. But he separated himself as one of the greatest voices bar none!

This song always reminds me of a man that used to live in a basement as a super back in Washington Heights. He had this room with all salsa instruments and he would sing this song almost every day I saw him.

From the 5:00 minute mark on this song changed my life forever!!!!!!!!!!! I had never heard a SOUND like that before I'm an African American Man from the Southside of Chicago and watched the movie El Cantante, I was SO IMPRESSED I ordered the CD online and picked it up from Wal-Mar!!!!!!! Meaning I didn't even want to burn it from online I needed the actual CD with the sound quality and all. Needless to say some of my neighbors question if I'm Black because of the music I play and the occasional Spanish in my everyday lingo LOL. My Girlfriends have been nervous when attractive Latin Women come around and God forbid I use some Espanol LOL! But I LUVV the sound and the story of how Salsa was created along with Willie Colon and Fania Records was interesting, similar to Motown with the Young Men and a VISION and look what it turned into!!!!!!!! So peace to my Latin Brothas and Siatas may we live in peace and harmony amongst one another. MUCH LUVV from the Southside of Chicago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
