Yeah the Limers have had several races this week where they were towards the front of the pack....until the Bell Carousel took a liking to them

The Bell Carousel was flexing today determined to ruin as many days as possible.

I hope after all 100 races is over, there will be an award for most medals, most dnf, most points, most 1st finishes and etc.

Imean seriouslym when was the last time the cowboys made anyone in their conference feel the way the patriots make the teams in their conference feel? lol So im Orangers all the way, no matter the format, even if they never winn agaion! (knock on wood. Madarin, put some gas on it! one day you gonna misjudge and then you will be screwed. lol)

Similar story yesterday with Saucer. Came in last and stayed in 3rd.

Sea has a great fighting-spirit! Got knocked back again again in this race, and finished in third place! That's what you need in this stage of the tournament! #tidepride

Sea got a very rare assist from the bell carousel. I wish they could get further ahead in the beginning stages so they wouldn't need to resort to risky tactics like that. It could so easily have gone horribly wrong, but it paid off this time.

They can DNF both of the remaining races, and still can't be eliminated, in fact. Though Mandarin, Slimelime, and Yellah can each finish with 42 points, if any two of them do so, the third cannot.

M-Tron 2000 simulates the remaining races in the week 1 million times to count how many times each team is eliminated. Race ending order is random, though cumulative points are taken into account. For each race, a team gets one ticket for each point they have earned in all previous races. All tickets are put in a hat, and one ticket is drawn for first place. That team is assigned first and the rest of their tickets removed. Repeat for second, etc. There is a 50% chance that last place will DNF. If that happens, there is a 50% chance that second to last place will DNF, and so on. The percentages describe the percent of simulations the team ended up eliminated. Probabilities below 0.1% are not shown.

@@EricSundquistKC I always look for your stats, even if they're pretty sobering sometimes. 50% chance of a DNF doesn't seem far off. Though expecting 12-13 triple DNFs in 100 races seems rather high, given we should have seen most of them now. Having six or seven DNFs in one race would even be expected.

O’rangers seem to be the most divisive team. Lots of love and lots of…well, not love.

1:26 you only sometimes use a plexiglass sheet to protect the crowd? How many marbles have died at these races?

Yes, what can be seen at the top of the screen really looks bad. The grandstand shakes like hell, hard to imagine there were no serious injuries to at least a couple of spectator marbles. Still hope we get some good news at the next race. 🙏

Triple silver for my boy Swax, what a streak. Also proud of my back up team The Chocolatiers, whom I never expected to get this far!

Mandy digging herself out of the basement midweek, week after week, like clockwork. At least she's making it interesting.

Poor Rezzy got their bell rung today, but still very much in the race.

The Bell Carousel at the end basically makes the entire first part of this track pretty much inconsequential. But I think that's a good thing when it's just for one week. Makes things very interesting.

Man… Those Bolts have improved every race so far this week but I’m afraid it’s gonna be too little too late at this point. They’re gonna need a monumental weekend to dig out of the hole they’ve dug for themselves. Here’s to hoping

Mandarin just needs to pull out a couple more decent finishes and we’re in luck

I thought for sure that the O'Rangers were going to finish this race near the bottom, but the bell carousel was forgiving, and let Mandarin pass unscathed this time!

How the mighty fell this week. Good to see the race tightening up a bit, but feelin' pretty good about my boy Saucer.

Starting to not look good for my Thunderbolts, but they've squeaked by in the past, so I remain hopeful!

Nooooooooo Yellah was practically first only to get badly stuck 😭

Mellow Yellow always struggles with the curved ramp anyway, but today the combination of the ramp and the bell carousel really sent them from competing with the Limers for first to dead last. I am having a hard time keeping it Mellow.

If I had had my bets locked in on day 1, they would most certainly be on that list

Geezus that carousel is the bane of the liters existence. Thats the second time we almost got a top 3 finish

It's not just the leader who's guaranteed to get through to the next round. The next two marbles both have enough to guarantee safety, because it's mathematically impossible for more than two of the bottom four marbles to finish with that many points. Any of the marbles in places 7-9 can finish with at least 42 points, but not *all three* can do it (they can't all finish first in the same race).

Yellah, Slimelime, and Mandarin can each finish with at least 41 points, but if any two of them do so, the third cannot, so both Rezzy and Swax are guaranteed to make it to the next round, even if they DNF both of the remaining races.

4 points a race gets you eliminated so 30ish points should see you safe. Work to do O'Rangers.

Chocolatiers,.. OH MY GOD BONBON WHY DID I EVER DOUBT YOU! Amazing recovery from that unfortunate DNF in race 3! The bell carousel seems to be Bonbon's strong suit as that was how we managed to score two back-to-back podiums! I've never seen my team do this well before! GO CHOCS!

You just HAVE to keep the carousel right before the finish line. It's SOOOO exciting that way!!
