@@Storm11251 even for the chance at the dagger makes the princess run worthwhile even if you lose 5-10mins travel time. Same with the lashers in Dme. Also since its instances there are no pvp concerns like other more lucrative spots

Something to try for the resets; get a mate to invite you and then log onto an alt character and get them to invite you again so you have 2 of your characters in the party. then your mate can leave and when you need to reset just log onto your alt character and reset instance

This is one of the things i love about wow. Soloing lower content. It's challenging and fun and it can be done with the right strategy

Bro I legit just fucking tried this and same shit happened to me. So disappointed. How the fk is she so fast? Maybe with some movement speed pots you can MAYBE. But I got her to only 70% and she killed me

@@choctravels3864 On the private servers, she would constantly cast dust storm, but on classic it's not bugged so it has a cooldown and u need to be in melee for it to cast, so she will always catch up.

except this isnt private server but the beta? at 2:30 he says "maybe its different on private servers idk" anyways, im doing this on my lock and know a guy whos doing it with his druid, probably most important: you need minor movespeed on boots. I didnt think that would help when i was dying in 2 out of 3 pulls since she would catch up and just wail on me for 10s not casting dust storm at all, but with the enchant she only connects like twice throughout the entire fight.

@@meinnase It's easy mode for warlocks. Have your VW out, as soon as the dust storm comes off CD send your VW in and she will start casting dust storm again after a few seconds. Then recall VW so it doesn't die. She will also throw the stones at your pet often which helps. This way she will never reach you except on pull (since there's ~10 second CD for dust storm on pull).

@@meinnase Also you can tell this is not beta because they didn't have lvl 60's on beta. The cap was lvl 45.

Besides hunters, warlocks and druids, would a shaman be able to farm this? It might be helpful with elemental dps mana issues

My brother had this dagger drop on his shaman back in the day. The rogue took it...

Does the daggers cooldown get effected by other procs? such as enchant procs etc? I remember several items sharing hidden timers

Hey ebn did you watch staysafes mauradon run on the beta? Princess seems to act differently than on pservers. She doesnt do the dust aoe nearly as much. She will spam rock throw on you until you are close enough to get dust aoe'd. The hunter doing the kiting kept dying because of it ( the hunter was very good, and knew how to solo her on pservers). Maybe she acts differently because there was a party of players? Idk but she did not seem solo'able, let me know what you think.

You don't need to kite her as a lvl60 hunter. You can just pull your pet back when she does the aoe and send him back in afterwards. Give your pet high nature resists and he'll be fine.

@@Ebbnflow The big difference with princess on Classic Beta that I noticed is she does not use dust aoe unless someone is in range of it. So she wont stop 30 yards from you and start dusting because noone is near her to be hit by it. She basically has better A.I. Shes easy to kite if the AoE's for no reason, but when she doesn't she tends to chase you down more and throw more rocks lol

@@Esonar Yeah I think as soon as I can test mara farming on Classic I'll update a video. You can definitely do it as people did it back in the day, the techniques might be a bit different though!

You said in one of your most recent videos that Princess farm was way harder in classic than what you were used to on pservers, but still doable. Can you mabye work on a quick video of the maraudon farm, and tell if it's still worth it? Also what gear to use for world pvp and stuff with different speccs, I'm currently running HoTW / NS because the lack of tanks, but still healing quite some dungeons. So I have both a feral set and a healing set (it fills up 1 16 slot to swap gear, and carry it around), but what gear is suggestable for world pvp / solo farming with that spec? just go with the resto?

Can't seem to find much information on this at all which tells me that this is a dumb question... Do feral abilities count as spells? Rake, Claw etc..

That would be VERY Important -> 30 sec cooldown is ~ 16MP/5 with ~3,3DPS and as a Druide Healer you would burn Mana for the hope of getting Mana. (100 - Casts Mana costs) If it can proc way more, that would change it drastically. I found Moonfire Level 1 -> 25 MANA *4 Casts -> 100? that would make it useless,... (as I would assume around 4-5 Casts min for a proc)

Yeah I'm confused why he thinks the dagger is so good. He's talking about it like it procs a ton but on the tooltip it literally says 30 sec cd, which equates to a very small amount of mp5

I saw a video the other day about making a hunter that uses +spell power as a way to get more bursty damage in PVP through arcane shot. I wonder if this dagger would work

Haha I saw that video. Its definitely more of a meme than a useable spec/gear set. That being said if the hunters ability is considered a direct damage spell it would work.

Again a great video about my most loved class thanks @Ebbnflow. I try to stack up SP with BiS pre raid for balance and do dungeonruns (solo/group) + mats aoe farming. Then i go raiding as healer. Do SP speed up these runs??

It will speed them up a bit, the fastest way is feral for croc and goblin bosses, but sp gear and balance will make it faster as well. Resto is obviously the slowest!

@@Ebbnflow i try to stack up Aoe dmg as well with dragonbreathhchilli, oil of immolation and the cristals from un goro crater plus the 3. 16% Sp-coefficient on Hurricane per tick should do the work(Aoefarming). For Maraudon or especially solo bosses i will go with insectswarm and moonfire (pushed with Sp). Lets see in August if this will pay off or not✌️

Hey I had this on a rogue back on nost and back then it was an on use effect that did 300 shadow dmg and restores 300 hp and the spell was called engulfing shadows, did it change in 1.9 or something?

On Nost it had no stats because reasons.

You seem here to suggest that there is a better spec for farming dungeons? Is it a feral spec? Like cat or bear? Or is the damage of a Moonkin able to solo this stuff. Curious as to how /why a feral would be better, as I cant think of why Moonkin would be good at all for dungeon farming.

Is that proc not supposed to be off auto attacks? not spells?

if the dagger proccs on mind flay tick, it could be bonkers for shadowpriests

It procs on channeled arcane missles. It depends on if mind play is considered a dot or direct damage. Since it has a debuff when casted I feel like maybe its a dot?? Does it interupt flag caps in AB or AV?

What would you say the average gold per hour is for druids for this farm? Is the dagger only good for balance spec?

This would be my go to world pvp weapon at the start of classic, probably until phase 3. That being said its probably not everyones choice!

Did you farm the princess on the official server? She quickly runs and it is impossible to run away from her to hang up the pillboxes. She catches up and wipes all the time.

Have any one done this on live ? Ive been trying for 1 week now boss seems to fast to kite.

Can you enchant 30 spellpower on the dagger and call it good?

Note for warlocks. On northdale mara farm is much more different from nostalrius due to changed mobs aggro range and their positions, u should be always extremely carefull to not to pull mobs with aoe silence or its ez 10mins corpserun. Overall on northadale mara solofarm isnt good enough for warlock, there are much better places to get gold

would like to know the stats on how much this is worth. you could have said how much each item is worth (i assume u vendor em all), and approximate time per lap. i wonder if its even worth doing this exact path because i thought hunters n locks like to only kill the princess. as a druid, can you kill her alone, drown yourself and run back in 10 minutes? and if so, is it more or less efficient than killing the other two as well? can you have someone invite you to a group before you do the run and then you drop group and are ported out?

Yeah you can do the death or port mechanic. Most hunters kill all 3 bosses or they get locked out far too fast.

So if the tooltip says the internal cooldown of the proc is 30 sec, could you switch to a good weapon with actual stats between the cicles? Maybe the proc rate is low becouse it can appen once every 30 sec.

The 30sec seems to be from wrath or tbc. It isnt from classic. So that 30 sec shouldn't be in the game.

Shaman tanks can farm it easily too, also have ancestral recall 15min hs to the village

I tried, its far to challenging. You really need to kite her.

Rotgrip hits for around 300 per hit in bear form(500 in caster) melee hits and puncture starts at about 90 damage per tick. Likely unsoloable in classic.

if you were in feral spec how would you gear? Looks like you're in your resto gear for this run as resto?

Feral id use full pve feral gear with strength and agil. For goblin and croc bosees. Princess I would use int and spirit gear.

What server are you playing on?

The dagger, if they would have gone with proper progressive itemization it actually is an on use with a 30 second cd returning the same amount of mana. Actually super strong as a healer weapon you can swap to it when you start running low on mana and pump out the on use. Super sad that they choose to go the lazy route with itemization.

When I farmed Mara as hunter on Elysium princess was immune to my serpent sting. Will she be nature immune on classic/can she still be efficiently killed without wrath and swarm?

Not really, but you don't have much of a choice. A warlock or hunter will kill her more efficiently anyways, so just boost your SP as much as possible and accept that it takes a bit longer.

It's because she's an elemental and those are immune to poison and bleed effects. Think about the Dwarf racial doing similar effect and Dwarves used to be Earthen.

Its actually from a later version I believe. Maybe tbc? No one mentions the 30 seconds in the old comments and when I check in game it doesnt have the cooldown. I think the tooltip on these database sites is wrong. Only time will tell!!

@@Ebbnflow Searched for "blade of eternal darkness" on the classic version of wowhead, and there is not a 30 second cooldown in the tooltip. So might look like it just has a % procrate.

Just go with the race/gender that you enjoy. That being said female has a slightly smaller hitbox, can make a few wsg jumps better, and overall has a smaller stature that some players enjoy.

I really like youre straight to the point man, and actually very nice video. But when you say straight to the point and then let us watch 1 min. of you burning down the goblin put me off a lil. Just wanted to give my two cents. Not really, it won't proc from SW:P or Mind Flay. Only Mind Blast which most spriests don't cast on cooldown since they will go oom super fast.

Could you do it with a 58 starter druid?

Any idea does dagger work with Shadow priest Mind Flay?

Mind Flay doesn't have an instant damage component so it won't work with it.

For pretty much all casters weapons are just stat sticks. I dont really see many solo obtainable weapons with as much long term utility as this. It should be in every casters toolkit.

tinker will fearnade you in feral form , and croc is stun immun ^^ private server vs reality^^

To get back to the entrance just log out and wait 5 min - after you log back in, you‘re teleported at the entrance.

There’s a confirmed workaround for the /camp. Invite someone else, and log out while the new person resets all dungeons. When you log back in you’ll be at the dungeon entrance. Swifty tested it on stream.

In real classic you can solo princess if you go balance/resto build by running the watery area in circular motion, healing yourself with rejuvenation and hitting moonfire every time the dot is not ticking and she has stopped to do AoE or throwing boulder. Everytime she gets close go to bear form to tank those quad windfury melee hits. After a few tries you should be able to consistently solo her in around 8 - 9 minutes fighting. You should have almost all preraid bis items with movement speed boots enchant or you will not make it. You don't need to go stealth at any point since you can run past all mobs without a problem if you are level 60

Should proc on Mind Flay Ticks seen an old video from 2006 here at 3:00: kzread.info/dash/bejne/YoqtmtqTgcTcqNo.html&t=177 Its BiS whole Classic for longer Fights giving about 45 Mp5 for Shadow Priests if you not using Mind Blast. The Damage from the Proc gets buffed by all Shadow Dmg sources (but no +spellpower) and equals for about 18-26 Spellpower. (For other Casters using 2.5 casts the Dagger gives ~20 Mp5 and ~8 Spellpower)

I always hated Blizzard never allowed Paladins to equip daggers... this would've been a cool dagger to tank and fix some mana issue from the Paladins.

It's funny, i hadn't heard of this dagger back in 2006. If it was that OP i bet a lot of ppl would know about it

Any spec just takes longer.. you have to kite her

Same way, just takes longer without insect swarm. Getting into melee will kill you, so you have to just whittle away slowly :(

The princess solo kill is 100% NOT viable on classic! She does the dust thing only like every 45seconds and catches up to you! Also she is immune against insect swarm and hits with her first two hits for 1000-2000 damage on you :(

zero in classic , about 50 gold on his private server where mobs dont have any hard abilities so that you could feel like a pro by killing soft versions of nearly any boss in this game

Warlocks can get past with proper timing, but it's far harder, hunters just run through and Feign Death.
