    Good video! I've never skated an official marathon but I've skated over 26 miles multiple times. I'll have to try the extra padding. I just got into distance skating and by mile 20 my ankle is usually getting uncomfortable. The wheel part you mentioned is very important. I've been riding on some warn down 90mm's and the effort it takes to maintain my normal pace is noticeably more difficult. Im no expert but something I would add is make sure you know what kind of nutrition your body needs. Typically if I'm not doing anything above 20 all I need is a little water. I'll have a small snack (cliff bar, trail mix) with if I'm doing 30+.

    I have a race this weekend (Athens 2 Atlanta) so the timing was perfect on this video! I've been practicing pack skating leading up to this event and have definitely noticed what you said about being more towards the back or front. I always struggle a lot more keeping up if I'm in the back. Fortunately, a few of my friends are doing the full distance with me so I will have a good paceline group that is the same speed as me ^_^

    Thanks for the tips Ricardo! I'm still getting used to urban routes of around 15-20 Kms so marathons for me are still a bit far.. but give me some time! I have a question regarding those footies for more comfort. How would you wear them for better comfort? Under or on top of your socks? Thanks!

    I would like to use a 4x110 setup, but my skates only have a 165 mount, unfortunately, (Seba Trix Grand Tourism) so I've opted 3x110. I have a 4x100 frame that I tried using, but the seconds wheels from the front don't have enough clearance and get stuck on the frame bolts x _ x. Using a Rollerblade Marathon frame with 3x110. It looks kind of weird since the wheels are really spaced apart (the frame is meant for 125mm), but it works! If I have the cash I will probably buy proper marathon skates next year!

    my longest distance as yet is 28 km. so i'm not sure how i 'm gonna feel by the end of 42km. Interesting about packs,though. Is it easier because of the wind or just psychologically?
