Gorgeous! I have hopes for a successful hydro dip using my new marabou paint. I never could with spray paint. Here I go…..

That was awesome. Loved it. I have several questions. Is there a step by step process somewhere? I have never done this before and am new to tumblers. Can I use a prepped tumbler, with white primer and then dip it? Then after dipping, if you touch it, accidentally ,will it leave fingerprints?

You used polycrylic to add your glitter about 3 coats, then you epoxy and sand then dipped, then expoy again?

Very pretty! Did you seal the glitter with anything before you dipped the cup?

Yes Amy I did. I put a coat of epoxy on maybe 2 to make it nice and smooth. Any bumps will show if it’s not smooth first.

What temperature was your water like cold warm or room temp? Mine did not work I’m having issues

Everytime I use my stick it clumps together 😭 any tips?? Plz and thank you!

How do you get bubbles out ?

When you added colors was the water room temp, warm , or cold? My paint gets clumpy and dries before i can dip

You have to work really fast when you start adding your paint. And if your doing it outside where it’s hot you need to go as fast as you can. I use room temp water.

How did you end up sealing this tumbler after it was completely dry?

I used 3 coats of polycrylic drying in between each coat. Just make sure you don’t miss any spots or you will get fisheyes. If that happens just leave it alone and let it dry. Then do a couple more coats and epoxy again. DO NOT sand after your first coat if you have fisheyes, you will end up sanding your glitter.

Mariza G yes I did. You need a smooth cup before you dip or it will show through the paint.
