Gautam Buddha’s experiments with Penance and Meditation for Enlightenment in Telugu is a well researched video of Dr Warlu in Devotional, Bhakti or spiritual series on Buddhism and Buddha’s biography. In the process Siddharth Gautam rediscovered and resorted to Vipassana meditation to get his enlightenment.
Siddhartha Gautama went on a great odyssey for Enlightenment from his own kingdom, Kapilavasthu to Bodh Gaya and this video is about his life history and spiritual journey util becoming an ascetic. He was trained in Dhyana Marg by two eminent teachers, Alara Kalama and Uddaka Ramaputra. He learnt Sphere of Nothingness and Sphere of neither perception nor non-perception from them. He did tapa (ascetism) for six years. Siddhartha Gautama was called the Buddha after his Enlightenment. The word Buddha is his title. His disciples called him Bhagavan which means the Lord or the Blessed one. Buddha was born 2600 years ago in a clan of warriors and taught Dharma for 45 years until his last breath. He asked people to take refuge in Buddham (Jnana) Dharma (Cosmic laws) and sangam (togetherness). He is not a mythological figure but a historical person. He was only the founder of a religion who never claimed that he was God, God's messenger or a suprahuman being. He is the first psychologist and mind expert in human history and did great search and research, and followed many austerities to find the truth about human destiny and predicament. After six years of very great penance, he discovered a way called Astangamarg - an eight fold path to get rid of people's sorrow and live a serene and blissful life. He taught people what he did and did what he taught them. He lived a very simple ascetic life and stood by principles that he taught. He ate only one meal a day for 45 years from His Enlightenment until his death. He collected his meals by begging alms. By knowing Gautama Buddha's story and following Buddha's teachings and principles one can live fearlessly, peacefully and blissfully.

Siddhartha went in search of Lasting Happiness: in the course of this quest He resorted to begging also. He dissuaded people against war and bloodshed. Trying to put an end to unrest among human beings He told people not to let themselves to be in the grip of tendencies that lead to anger and fear. He suggested mindful breathing to reach oneness. Mindful eating to safeguard the planet. He faced several impediments in the quest of salvation. Various teachers taught Him various paths. Praise the lord, గౌతమ బుద్ధుడు ఆహారం లేకుండా తపస్సు చేశారు ఆహారము తినకుండా శరీరాన్ని హింసించుకున్నారు ఇది కరెక్ట్ కాదు ఆహారము లేకుండా కష్టపడుతూ శరీరం హింస పడుతున్న వారికి ఆహారం ఇవ్వడం కరెక్ట్ నువ్వు ఆహారం తినడం మానివేయడం వల్ల సృష్టిలో వచ్చింది ఏమీ లేదు ఈ సృష్టి యావత్తు చూస్తే ఆహారం లేని వారికి ఆహారము వస్త్రము లేని వారికి వస్త్రము నీ శరీర నీ శరీరానికి ఏమేమి కావాలనుకుంటున్నావో అవన్నీ కూడా అవతల వాళ్ళకి ఇవ్వడం, నీవు నీ శరీరాన్ని హింసించుకుంటే ఏమి రాదు, వారైతే శరీర హింసల వల్ల బాధపడుతున్నారో వాళ్ళ హింసల నుంచి తప్పించడమే దైవ ధర్మం సృష్టి ధర్మం, అలానే మీ శరీరాన్ని నువ్వు ఎంత మాత్రమూ బలహీన పరుచుకోకు బలహీనతల నుండి తప్పించుకోవడం కోసం అనగా కామా క్రోధ మద మాత్సర్యాల నుండి తప్పించుకోవడం కోసం నీ శరీరాన్ని బలహీన పరచకు వాటి నుంచి పారిపోకు సత్యాన్ని యదార్థతన్ని గుర్తించి వాటిని చేయించు అంతేగాని వాటి నుంచి అడవిలోనికి కొండల్లోకి పారిపోతే ప్రయోజనం ఏమీ లేదు నీరులేని సముద్రంలో గుడ్డువాడు కుంటివాడు పిచ్చివాడు కూడా ఈదుతాడు అంతేగాని నీరున్న సముద్రంలో ఎవరైతే ఈదుతారో వారే మంచి ఈతగాడు, అని దైవ ధర్మం చెబుతుంది, సరే నీవు ఒక్కడవు అడివిలోనికి కొండల్లోనికి పారిపోయి కామ క్రోధ మద మాత్సర్యం నుండి తప్పించుకో గలుగుతావు కానీ ఉన్న లోకం ఎక్కడికి పోతాది లోకమంతా అలా పోయినచో లోకంలో ఏముంటాది, అందువలన లోకంలో ఉంటూ జ్ఞానాన్ని వెతుకు కామ క్రోధ మద మాత్సర్యాలు ఈజీగా జయించి జ్ఞానాన్ని వెతుకు అది ఎంత ఈజీగా చేయించడం అంటే పెద్ద మండుతున్న అగ్నిగుండంలో బాగా ఎండిన ఆకులు వేస్తే ఎంత ఈజీగా కాలిపోతాదో అంత ఈజీగా చేయించే జ్ఞానాన్ని వెతుకు వెంటాడు ఆచరించి అమలపరుచు, ముఖ్యముగా క్షమించే మనస్తత్వం కలిగి ఉండాలి ఈ క్షమాపణ గురించి తరువాత చెప్పబడుతుంది ఇది అన్నిటికంటే విలువైనది, మంచి తో చెడుని జయించు
