MAPOON
The fight between progress and traditional ways is what has shaped Mapoon today. Mining in the area is a billion dollar industry and today the big companys such as Rio Tinto work with the traditional owners of the land in a partnership designed to benifit both interests. It has not always been this way, history shows us just how rough the road to mutual respect can be.

It's great as usual
Lovely Ep. Over the years I have camped at Cullen point a few times and many times at Red Knob with its 30 foot hight cliff overlooking the Wenlock River near Batavia out station. But no camping there now days its a shame it was a lovely spot.
