Maple or Britannia for Silver Stacking? Which is the Best?

If it doesn't have milk spots, it's not an authentic Britannia- fifth security feature, lol! I'm with you- the Maple has better quality but the Britannia's design is way more appealing. The Brit looks awesome in gold so I have been going that route.

If the premiums are the same, I prefer the Britannia. Most of the time Maples premiums are much higher. I don't really care about the milk spots on my previous Maple purchases (many). I think the security and design of the Britannia is much nicer. But, the lower premium determines which I buy.

Tough call really I like design aspects of both and dislike design aspects of both. I prefer the finish on the Maple, the high polish on the Britannia blows out all the detail making it difficult to make out. But I prefer the Queen Elizabeth II portrait on the Britannia, the portrait on the Maple looks like something out of a comic book to me. That said these are not issues that put me off either coin I like both. Just added 5 x 2023 Brits to the stack this morning plus 1 x 2019 Britannia with oriental border. Also added 5 x 2020 Maples. Also 5 x 2023 King Arthur from The Royal Mint, those are pretty cool but I'm really waiting on the Merlin coin in the series. Have just recently started staking silver Maples in my collection, after moving away from the Kangaroo and Britannia. Having received my 2023 tube of 25 1 oz maples recently, I noticed some of the coins have noticeable dings/indentations around the rim? Having no prior experience to compare against other Maples, does this seem normal, perhaps occasionally occurring as part of the production process at RCM, or should I expect a better surface finish? The center parts of the coin's portrait/maple leaf area have no problems at all, just the rim? Was wondering if you noticed any such imperfections on your 2022/3 year maples? Many thanks for another interesting video!

I love Canadian 2Toz. I just don't love the 1Toz Maples. They are pretty when they do something like the twin Maple but I find the generic 1oz a bit dull and I don't like Starbucks Queenie. The Britannia on the other hand has proper Queenie with a Crown and bling. It's also got slightly better security features and is cheaper - so I will go with the British any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.
