Hi Nurse Stephanie How can I registered for the map class

In the transcription is it the doctor's order you have to sign on or the medication sheet after you DC and transcribed?

Hello, Remember transcription is not administration so you don’t initial med sheet in the boxes. You do however sign the bottom of the med sheet. Some new sheets will either have “posted/verified” or “accuracy check 1 &2”; either way you sign the bottom of the med sheet under posted or accuracy check 1. You then sign under the doctors order as “posted, signature, date and time”. Some of my students have told me that when they go to the state the doctors orders are laminated. I’m that case just sign mww aheet

When you transcribe on the med sheet is it compulsory for you to write the reason for the medication?

When I teach it I tell students not to write the reason. Less opportunity to make a mistake. You won’t fail if it’s not there

Do you need to initial and write your name in the bottom?

Merilyn Dike no because that is for med pass; you sign date the bottom of doctors order meaning you post it

Deejay Wizzie. You write exactly what the doctor wrote. If the doctor wrote “four x day” that’s what you write; transcription is an exact copy

Is there a difference between day and daily? Like in the doctor's order is daily you transcribed a day , is it wrong?

I don’t know if they will fail you but the correct phrase is Daily

@@NurseStephanieVictoria just saw this.its was my Q at the top...I have noticed that the daily it's on doctor's order but the day it on pharmacy label....my Q is when you writing frequce are you supposed to write at what's on doctor's order or pharmacy label!
