This is an unboxing, demonstration, and review of Maona's MAONOCASTER E2 Audio Production Studio. A mixer solution built around KZreadrs, video game streamers, podcast enthusiasts, and anything else even remotely similar. It has plenty of ins and outs for mixing, as well as a number of effects (including auto-tune), and an eight-button sound pad to play to capture pre-recorded sounds or music that can be played back at the touch of each button. All of this wrapped into a decent price point.

Pros:
- Clean audio
- USB works great with computers
- Headphone monitoring is great
- A lot of effects/options
- Acceptable price
Cons:
- Adjustments must be re-applied each time (your changes won't be saved)
- Defaults to reverb being enabled and denoise "on" each time (power on)
- Not the most durable build quality (but this is expected for the price)

Im tempted to buy this even i have the Yamaha Ag06. Im not sure of the sound quality compared to my Yamaha which is so clear

Yamaha is a king option when it comes to mixers. It all depends on what you'd need this for. Since the Yamaha connects via USB to the PC, everything else could be handled via the PC when it comes to pre-recorded sound effects, stingers, and more. So it really depends on any given scenario. This unit combines a lot of things together. But the hardware isn't going to be close to a Yamaha mixer. It's much more consumer-themed for those looking to keep within a budget. -- James H.

Hello. My friend and I want to start a podcast, but we don't have a lot of knowledge about the subject. However, we really want to do it as it is an event we've been wanting to do for a while. What kind of microphone should we choose for a beginner level? Do we have to choose a model with an XLR input? Or will the quality of our recordings increase "wow" significantly compared to USB models? Our budget is a maximum of $500. If you have any models or setups you can recommend, I would be very happy. Thank you."

XLR vs USB all depends on your setup. If you are using a computer that has a software-based interface for controlling everything and do not have an XLR input solution, then USB is just fine. If you want full broadcast quality, then XLR will still get you the best results in most cases. But it depends on how serious you want to be. Most podcasts do not require this. You can easily use an interface like this one as a starting point and it would sound great. Unless you are using two or more microphones and do decide to go with XLR (then you'd want a proper mixer that supports USB or you can send to your computer via analog). If you are looking to keep costs down, this is a great place to start. It's worth giving it a try. -- Ryan S.
