Great performance, lyrical and expressive. Mao does a marvelously limber fan spiral with exquisite extensions drawn out slowly in smooth arcs that cut across the ice, leading into a lovely one handed Biellmann that's lyrically synchronized to the whining of the violins. Then, she turns upright and projects her arms over her head, dropping them down slowly and expressively, as the violins descend into a gentle pianissimo before the forte of the step sequence begins. With her head tilted slightly to the side, she holds the falling notes gently in her cradled arms like a baby gently pacified by their mother's lovely charm.

At the very beginning, is that the same woman who used to coach Midori Ito?

That triple lutz at the beginning was pretty good, I wonder what happened to it... She's developed so much more since then! Her speed and polish are a lot better these days, but her lutz has gotten worse I think...

Hmm... Her lutz was actually '' flutz '' back then! You know she took off with inside edge instead of outside edge? But it's been fixed now! Trying to get GOE + for her lutz!
