Manufacturing Cling Film

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How the ever 'attractive' cling film is made in the factory.
Like many everyday plastic-type things, it's also a by-product of crude oil.

That particular how-it's-made video was more interesting than I expected. Did not expect the giant bubble.

I worked in a QC lab for a plastics manufacturing and the test for cling film were a little challenging. But it's an awesome process.

It doesn't give me much confidence that the stuff is actually clean enough to wrap my sandwiches in. There are a number of places were the workers could easily have contaminated it.

They touch probably about 0.001% of the cling film produced. Your sandwich contents are handled far higher from farm to factory to shop.

The meer act of picking the sammmiches up (during making and then wrapping) will introduce more bacteria than any cling film worker would. Bet your hands are not aseptic during making of a sandwich.. That's why your stomach has pH1...
