Oliver Kahn is legend.. He would be declared the best GK in the history if Germany won World Cup 2002. He alomost single handlely won the WC 2002 . In our childhood we always wanted to be GK like Oliver Kahn.. Neuer is modern day Legend ..

True. In my childhood, I wish to be like Oluver Kahn despite not knowing mucj about football. He's got great name too. Oliver Kahn. Sounds freaking awesome for a child to hear.

Kahn surely had presence on the pitch. He was freaking intimidating back then.
I watched Oliver play brazil in the 2002 WC final, my family supported brazil but for some reason ollies command of the goal never left my memory. I was a little kid but I could tell he was special. Now as an adult seeing Neuer win the WC with Germany I appreciate everything he's done. Two different legends, two different eras.

@Divenaldo Penaldo They haven't bad for a whole decade though. David Alaba was once the second best left-back besides Marcelo. Boateng prime was incredible but people forgot about it after you know Messi did a thing
I say Manuel Neur bc he makes strikers intimidated just by his presence and can effect the way the strikers shoot and confidence, to me, we are witnessing greatness.

See Kahn though is a legend but doing that kind of goalkeeping 1:18 is legendary which I've never ever seen from any goalie so far...

Neuer is fantastic goalkeeper with great sweeper abilities, however Kahn's reflex on the line was from another dimension, and that is more important so in my opinion Kahn was best ever.

Neuer saved like 3 penalties to Madrid in 2012, including 1 to Ronaldo.
Neuer won 5 FIFA BEST GOALKEEPER AWARDS and Kahn won 3, almost half of all the awards are won by these two legends. Pride of German football ✌️✌️✌️

During Kahn's era I was a FCB hater, but I always respected Kahn and in my eyes he was second only to Peter Schmeichel in the 90s, but in the early 2000s he was my number 1 goalie. Never cheered for him, but always respected him.

Both are my favorite GK’s! In the past it was Khan now it’s Manuel Neuer. One thing is for sure GERMANY 🇩🇪 always produces World Class goalies! As someone mentioned below Khan in 2002 single handedly took Germany to the WC finals. Can’t wait for the WC it’s going to be weird watching during Nov/Dec. Let’s Go Germany 🇩🇪

I want Neuer vs. Kahn vs. Casillas vs. Buffon vs. Banks. All of them are unique. Most people would think that the competition between the first three would be tight. But look at Buffon's longevity and consistency. And Banks was legendary too. Perhaps one of the best of the old times if not the best. His career was cut short by an accident that damaged one of his eyes.

Kahn is one the greatest gks of all time. I would even say that he had better reflexes than Neuer. But I will go for Neuer because of his playing style. He is like 3rd centre back of Bayern.
