I'm very interested in learning how the broad tip jig was engineered. It seems to me to be possible to design a 4 or perhaps even 6 point tip jig for multiple single action welds using your concept for broad contacts. I wonder, however, if this would also cause rapid wear on the tips - if tips wear unevenly then the application's usefulness would be foiled by chronic maintenance. Do you know of any such modifications having any success - and if not, what do you think of the idea?
