Mantis is the best. I use it for all BR games that I play. ---Nope! I am currently using Panda Gamepad pro because touching screen and using gamepad simultaneously works!

Wow one of these screen mappers as an axis inverter. I don't use it but I know that some people do and none of the others seems to have that yet.

And yet I am very demanding on this point (for example I can't play Rocket League on PS4, because there is a micro latency compared to the PC version). I can't play in HDMI because my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A7) doesn't support it, but on the tablet with the controller it's already great!

activated app. detected my controller in app. detects my controller when laying out buttons in game. but after that nothing im on a s10e with old ps4 controller. no disable permission monitoring. and theres no security setting to turn on in developer options. help

Alot of these guys Know these app Don't really work with the new UIs, he's using a low end phone and I'm sure it doesn't use android 11, this is the problem. Just to show you, he didn't even acknowledge anyone with similar issues. I use the PS4 controller with an S10e and it's the same problem. These guys are just promoting these apps that only works on older phones SMH

Sadly I can't help anyone with a PS4 controller as I only have Xbox controllers. I have replied to some comments saying this. All I can suggest is contacting the developer and seeing if they can help. This should work on any phone with Android 7 or higher. I even made a video with this app with my newer S21 which runs Android 11 as you can see here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iGSD09uym8-8pMo.html

So I'm going to waste more time and try with the Xbox Controller on both gamepads, if not, I'm just done with these gamepads, these app can really be a thing, but they're not supported

Really disappointing that this is considered the best controller mapper, but you need a 2nd device to use it.... I don't want to rely on connecting to a pc just to play a quick game for about 5 minutes

Doesn't seem to work for me, keep getting the error message Android device not found. If activation still fails, install the corresponding USB driver of your device from its official website, whatever the hell that means. I'm stumped, anyone else having this issue?

I tried mantas buddy pro. It doesn't stay after i restart the phone. Is there a way to keep it. Is this the same thing??

How do I know I won't get banned with this app? With Mantis (and any other keymappers which use Universal Touch Mapping), it's nearly impossible for an App/Game to detect whether Touch Mapping is being executed. Why? - Because although Overlays can be detected, the Overlay running apps' identity cannot be. Hence it'd be harsh for a game to ban their user for just this as there are plenty of legit Overlay use cases. - Because the Touch Mapping is just Emulated Touch Injection and no different to actual touches. Again making it undetectable. - USB Debugging detecting is easy but can be enabled on the device for multiple use cases. Again not at all conclusive enough. And Companies do not ban users unless they are 99% sure about the unwanted activities. Banning even a single account wrongly leads to massive PR issues.

okay this app is not working for me. i have a ZTE RedMagic 6s Pro i tried the wifi way is not working, i tried the PC way is not working, i tried to unistall/reinstall switch on and off the debagging mode still nothing. the buddy doesn't want to connect, also i noticed that the download ZIP file is missing 2 files "Buddy 1 & 2"

Not every time but if you restart your phone or the Mantis service gets killed by your phone.

This was a bugger to set up but FINALLY got it working. I really love this app and the Razer Kishi I got for a great deal works like a dream, thanks for all the help

Can i do this without a controller? I want to play touchscreen on anygame but add a custom hud layout

It won't let me switch the role of which phone is controlling the USB, It says "couldn't switch" and shows a menu that asks to choose an app for the usb. Why is it doing this? Is it common? How can I resolve the issue?

I'm also here for Genshin Impact. If there's a way to use the right analog stick this gamepad would be perfect. I'll be checking back on this video for an update/solution. Thank you for this app, it's extremely helpful as a workaround for playing on a tablet. Much appreciated.

Many thanks for the video. After watching this i gave it a try and it awesome. One major issue for me though is that if I, for any reason , have to click on screen then going back to the controller, it takes a few clicks to react. The other issue is that i don't get the virtual keyboard when Mantis is running. Does anyone have the same issues or got around them?

I can't say I've experienced the same issue about it not reacting. With regards to the virtual keyboard though - you need to change the input method to get the keyboard back up. So if you need to enter text in your game then click the text box and then press the keyboard icon (bottom right on a Samsung) to select your input method - select your Gboard/Swiftkey/Samsung Keyboard from the list, type what you need and then change the input method back to Mantis afterwards

Man I did all that and when I disconnected the phone from the pc, the buddy in the app is turn off. Do I have to be connected to the pc obligatory???? I really dont get it 🙈 😢help please🙏🏻ooh also I dont have the usb monitoring option... I turn on the other one: USB debugging security setttings cuz a user says in case of some xiaomis we need to turn that too

How is the response wne emulating the touchscreen? I did this many years ago and the stick emulation was sketcy

Tried on huawei p40,and it didn't worked. It disconnects MantisBuddy as soon as i remove usb. I even tried "wifi" version of adb,and that one isn't working.

Everything works perfectly but when i remove the usb after activating mantisbuddy , mantis buddy gets offline. It seems like i have to be connected to the usb to my pc all the time for mantis buddy to be active. Any way around this?

I haven't seen that before but it sounds like it doesn't have write-permissions. You could either try re-installing the app or if you're feeling adventurous, find the app in Settings - Apps and then check what permissions it has - make sure it has storage permissions.

I have a BSP-D9 controller I just got for my Lenovo Legion Y700 and I am trying to set it up and I'm having such a nightmare. I tried using this app, but the Mantis app doesn't detect the D9:( I want to play Genshin with it and I tried using it plug and play style and it only half-works, the camera stick and triggers are fucked up when I try to use them. I see videos of people using the D9 with no issue...but I am having plenty 🗿 I'm new to this controller scene thing, so I aren't familiar with any obvious apps I may be should have.

finaly after occtopos and panda it work xD it just take 5h to connect androit to pc or androit to antroit^^ but just with my new s21ultra dont know why i tryd after that with older phone from sony xz premium it connect to pc in 1 min. thx bro 4 the tipp and the video know i can start playing

hey there! i just watched the full video and followed the instructions, but there is a problem when i extract the file it shows only "activatebuddy" not "activatebuddy.bat" and when i clicked it the turn on usb debbuging only popped up once. When i tried again it only shows "android device not found" (my usb debbuging is turned on btw).

It's basically just activating the service which will press on the screen for you. It means it's undetectable by the game so you can't get banned from using it. I'm not an Android developer but I believe it's the only way you can activate this type of service on your phone without having root. The way other keymappers work (that come with the iPega or Gamesir for example) is different and they can be detected by the game

Hi there, if that happens try running the ActivateWiFi.bat afterwards and it should reconnect it for you

How do you map mantis to look around in pubg mobile. It seems impossible without compromising the right analog function?

If you doing another game they not support gamepad it will get stuck nd glitch sumtimes other then tha its a good controller feel like a switch 😁

I noticed my keyboard seems to be replaced after using the application. Not sure to some users notice this but when you go to the keyboard and applications you will see a additional keyboard installed on your device. Name is Mantis Services. Its a keyboard but received a popup message that its possible that use for keylogger. So i uninstall it right away and scan my phone. Hope nothing serious that got affect my phone.

No that's just how the software works. If you want to use your keyboard during a game you need to switch your keyboard back to Gboard/SwiftKey/Samsung Keyboard etc. The app works as a keyboard input so it can press buttons on the screen 👌

Make sure you don't have any other apps which use the floating widget permission...I had a screen clicker app installed which stopped Mantis from working/recognising input so I uninstalled it and Mantis worked fine (you can just disable them too). You can check in your Accessibility options (on a Samsung that's in Settings - Accessibility - Installed apps). Just make sure everything else is turned off in there.

Do you know how to fix my problem? Whenever i want to select a key it won't detect? and when i want to calibrate my controller it won't detece either?

Is this anything like the Sixaxis app? That app was dope and worked perfect until the developer abandoned it.

so does this just need to happen once, or everytime we restart the device?

Everytime you restart or the service dies in the background

I got to where it is supposed to ask me for allow device debugging but it did not give me that pop up on my phone. I feel like I clicked the "always allow this computer" earlier, but now I get stuck on that step and hitting retry doesn't work. I revoked privleges on my phone but its still doing it. HELP

Hi, thanks for this video. Im having a problem. Im using S8+ tab and PS4 controller. Trying to configure for Genshin Impact. Right stick setting doesnt seem to catch the camera scrolling. Any inputs is appreciated!

Man I have a problem... I activated everything,calibrate Gamepad but after I run a game gamepad doesnt work but its still connected and in Mantis APP I can pressing buttons in calibr..and it works whats wrong?

You might have another app which also has floating window permission or an overlay on the phone. I had an auto-tapping app installed which stopped it working for me (until I disabled the app). Have a look through your list of apps and try and work out what might be stopping it

How can you add more than one game in the list?the only way is to pay for pass

Sir, my Mantis buddy is back red when i close the Mantis after finish gaming, so i have to do re activation in my pc's, Is there any way to make Mantis buddy always active? Thank you in advance

Every time I want to play games using this gamepad ... do I need to go to the computer every time a USB phone?

You have to activate whenever the app service dies or you restart your phone

@@AndroidAddicts I remember..only once phone connect to pc..then exit the game..can re -enter as usual without usb pc activation

Sad to me my analog just have 1 only left side . When I try to touch screen always stop moving :(

if you guys are talking about the camera view mapped stick not working but the movement stick does, TRY: keeping camera mode enabled (only for the stick mapped to the camera)... change in-game (genshin impact's) sensitivity to the lowest possible... then change the mapped stick sensitivity to below 0.50 (below 50% of the stick sensitivity)... then try finding a preference from there, though i recommend to keep genshin's sensitivity at 1 or 2 while the stick sensitivity being at least 50% or less. this is so the camera can be smooth and controllable, custom settings only under those recommended may allow you to be faster but keep smoothness and not have a non-functional camera or one that barely functions and even pixel skips.

I done all steps and it works but now Call of duty mobile buttons on controller is all jack up how can I fix this. Thanks

Why is trigger not working dpad is working fine but keymapping a trigger button is not working? I have poco f2 pro updated to android 12.

the app seem to be working but i dont have control over my screen when i have the app runing with the gamepad, plus the game pad is not working even when i try overlaying the control.

Hi! I'm being paranoid or skeptical on using Mantis Gamepad Pro. And i badly wanna reset my phone because of this. and it did actually worked, but every restart i have to Activate it again, is this normal? and My question is, is this safe to do? Specially the app is accessing ADB on our phones. Your reply would be a great help and would make my day!

Do you need the computer to activate mantis buddy even if its your second time using it

That app doesent wanna register buttons of my keypad..... when i try to add buttons like u did nothing happends

Same here. Im using a OnePlus 8T device. The buttons are all detected when doing calibration but does nothing when mapping Genshin Impact.

Hi! can some one help me. I'm trying to use this with Apex Legends Mobile but when it doesnt let me map a key and the mapped analog doesnt respond to the controller. I tried calibrating and it seems to work when i dont have the game opened.

It doesn't work, it tells me to launch the app, I've done everything right and even have the app open but the prompt keeps coming up. Do u know how to fix?

I have a Gameplays with only a left stick and the other controllers with the tactil zone of smartphone. Hi, I've followed your guide till 4:38 where my phone does not show me that notification. Because of that, the Buddy on my pc keeps telling me 'Android not found'. How do I resolve this? I already allowed USB debugging on my phone. Samsung A02S.
