In 2008, Te'o won the inaugural Butkus Award at the high school level, awarded to the best prep linebacker in the United States. He was also named the 2008 Sporting News High School Athlete of the Year, becoming the first person from the state of Hawaii and the first athlete of Polynesian descent to receive the award. USA Today named Te'o the national Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-American. He is only the third high school player from Hawaii to be named to the USA Today All-American team and the second player from Punahou to earn such a distinction since 1990. Te'o was also named to the 2009 Parade All-American team as well. On January 10, 2010, Te'o was named the Hawaii State Defensive Player of the Decade (2000--2009) by the Honolulu Advertiser.

Football Highlights Good point, especially since a bunch of times before the opening kickoff, he tries to get the crowd fired up.
Yeah, This guy is a phenomenal player and leader. I hope the Vikings are able to pick him up during the draft but either way, Because this kid will better a team and fight for a win no matter what the circumstances. Great video!

Manti is by far a better Signal caller but hey Riddick is a beast. A lot of Manti plays look handed to him by bad throws by qb's. Right place at the right time much like Cary Williams did last yr. lol

A joke because he didn't get picked in the first round? Who cares, first round pick is over hyped & rated to begin with. The goal is to get drafted and do make a career.
I really hate when ppl talk about the Bama game only, as if that's the only game that defined a players career. Every good player has bad games. I still remember when we played KC yrs back when thewy had Priest Holmes and Brian Waters and there O-Line were just killing Ray and it had him very frustrated. But as all good players do they learn from it and move on. Manti is still as good a prospect as ever and I would like for him to be a Raven but I like Riddick better for our team.

So much for that first round pick. What a joke. Sure, he looks good against scrub teams, but the NFL kinda figured that out. Didn't do anything against Alabama. Would have been the same way against Georgia. If you want defensive players, turn to the SEC.
This dude is more hype than anything. Watch highlights from real linebackers. A good example is LSU's Kevin Minter. Te'o looked like a slow girl in the national championship. He will not make it in the NFL.
