Mann-Whitney U Test [Simply explained]
What is a Mann-Whitney U Test? And how is it calculated? That's what we will discuss in this video. A Mann-Whitney U test tests whether there is a difference between two independent samples.
An example: Is there a difference between the reaction time of women and men?
But the t-test for independent samples does the same!?! It also tests whether there is a difference between two independent samples. The Mann Whitney U Test is the non-parametric counterpart to the t-test for independent samples.

Hello. Thanks for the video. If there is a large difference between the number of males and females, is this test still relevant? Say the number of males is around 25000 and females is only 250.

If your result undergoes type II error where null hypothesis is not rejected eventhough its to be rejected and alternate hypothesis is true, in this case increase the significance level

If the data (eg: heights, weights etc) is not normally distributed, then go with Mann Whitney U test
