In real life , Kuttan ( Siju David ) did not even get a helmet with lights with it . He had to tie the Torch in a rope and wear it around his neck .. Chidambaram did not want to potray Tamilnadu Fire force even dont have a Helmet with light . That is why he did not show that

Btw there were many good movies released from malayalam in TN but most of them didn't get the support. And manjummel is the first malayalam movie to collect 10 + cr. In Kerala every good tamil movies get 50cr + collection even though it's a small state
