Folks, especially the Kuki Brothers and Sisters. If there needs to be peace in Manipur, you need to make a distinction between RECENT ILLEGAL KUKI-CHIN MIGRANTS from Myanmar and yourselves that have lived here for ages. They have CHIN STATE in Myanmar which is 14, 000 square miles (MANIPUR IS ONLY 8,621 square miles) and is even closer to the BAY OF BENGAL than either Mizoram or Manipur. I know Kukis live in the CHITTAGONG HILL TRACTS as well. Manipur cannot simply allow them to settle in MANIPUR because the resources are not a plenty. The RECENT ILLEGAL KUKI-CHIN MIGRANTS from Manipur do not love the lands in the Hills of Manipur as they do not belong here. You can see the mass cultivation of poppy which meant clearing the forests of the hills of Manipur and all the consequences that come with it.

Never seen Dalits fighting for territory. Instigating or demanding. Those Dalits that I know are hard working, humble and live quietly. They are not violent lovers. They just want to survive. I heard there are many real Kuki victims sufferings under their leadership who are militants supporters backed by drug money. These militants are the real cause because they are not quite. If they don't fight and simply protest like any normal civilians these fight would have stop by now. But they keeps provoking the valley people at night for the world to see in the day that the valley people are torturing the hill people. Some evil people are behind it. Common citizens are suffering.

God bless Kukis. Separate Admn is the best solution. Historically it was always so. The Hiils being with the Valley is just a Colonial legacy. It can never be permanent. It can never remain peacefull.

British saw Kukis will disturb in administration in future so they divided Kukis a part in Lushai hills now Mizoram and a part in Burma in Chin State. No Kukis in Manipur after Kuki War 1917. Some old kuki however allowed to stay at Manipur for occupation like porter, guards after the war. but not allowed to migrate in Manipur without ILP pass as King treated them enemy. After removal Inner Line Permit system in 1950 they migrated to Manipur without valid pass as required under Foreigners Act. However, Jawaharlal Nehru and U Nu agreement of 1953 allowed them to enter Manipur upto 16kms from Burma border. Hence most Kukis crossing beyond 16 kms are foreigners. These foreigners disturbed peaceful State as seen in recent riots.
