Mani Peninsula, Greece Travel Guide: Best Beaches & Places To Visit | Μάνη
Welcome friends to a special video! I made this with all my heart and I dedicate it to the beautiful people of Mani (Μάνη), Peloponnese (Πελοπόννησος), Greece. The southern part of the country, offers some extraordinary routes around many magical places. I tried so hard to fit the best footage in this video after spending 4 amazing days in Mani. Not enough time though to explore the whole region but I'm sure you'll get the picture of how beautiful this place is.
Surrounded by the Mediterranean, Mani (Lakonia) has a culture of its own. Mani is famous for the people that always respect the idea of honor, for their stone towers and their excellent Mediterranean cuisine. I know that most foreigners do like to visit the greek islands during the summer like Mykonos, Santorini, Naxos, Crete and Lefkada but when they go mainland Greece, they go here, in Mani Peloponnese, as the landscape has a wild natural beauty that leaves you breathless.
In this video you will see places like Limeni in Oitylo, Diros Caves, Kotronas, Marathos Beach at Kokkala, Gytheio, Areopoli, Alypa, Chalikia Vatta, Foneas Beach in Kardamili and amazing routes.
If you have never visited Greece, then you miss a lot of beauty in this world! Any time of the year, 365 days a year, Greece offers amazing landscapes, unique people and excellent food. From rivers, lakes and mountains to truly amazing sandy and rocky beaches, Greece has it all. Such a small country but with so vast diversity considering the scenery, the food habits, the traditions, the people.
Greece thrives during summertime. The warm sun and the amazing beaches with crystal clear waters will leave you breathless. Not to mention the glorious sunsets by the beach. Some of the top destinations during the summer include the Greek islands of course like Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Milos, Rhodes and Crete in the Aegean Sea and Lefkada, Corfu, Kefalonia, Ithaca, Zakynthos and Paxos in the Ionian Sea. As far as mainland goes, top travel destinations are considered the city of Athens, Peloponnese peninsula, Epirus and Chalkidiki up north. Honestly, I could continue forever doing this but you get the picture.

Ευχαριστω Νικο! Τι τραβηξα Θεε μου με αυτο το project με το Premiere στη διορθωση χρωματος δεν υπαρχει!!!Τρεις ημερες κρασαρισματα και ξανα απο την αρχη. Στο τελος το project ειχε γινει corrupted και αν δεν ειχα σωσει παλιοτερο save σε αλλο σκληρο θα εκλαιγα τουλαχιστον 6 ημερες δουλειας με 10ωρα καθε ημερα. :-) ΚΑΛΗΜΕΡΑ!

@@topplacesingreece same here! Έφτασα στο Μαρμάρι και στο σημείο που αφήνουμε το αυτοκίνητο για το Ταίναρο, αλλά δεν περπατήσαμε ως εκεί. Την επόμενη φορά όμως θα πάω οπωσδήποτε! Καλή εβδομάδα!

Hey, thanks for watching! We stayed in a very small village called Flomochori. It's very close to Kotronas (East Mani). We were lucky enough to rent a brand new tower house just outside the village and it was so peaceful, which of course made the experience even better. I see if it's still on Airbnb and I'll come back with more info. At that time it was 90 Euros per night. I'm sure it will be higher priced these days. As far as driving goes, yeah, prepare for lots of it if you want to see it all. And hopefully it's not blazing hot the time you visit as it will add a little more fatigue to the experience. No matter what, you can't go wrong with that part of the Peloponnese.

People of Mani are considered tough in a good way. The Greek Revolution of 1821 against the Turks started in Peloponnese and Maniots were the first to declare war. As far as if they speak old Athenian, I don't know. Probably not. Thanks for visiting, have a good day!
