Olimar is actually pretty fun in the newer games since pikmin management is cool but yeah I wouldn’t play him in p+

They're working on matchmaking and rollback, but right now you need to know the opponent beforehand.

when p+ gets auto-matchmaking and rollback the scene's gonna blow up and pop off. i cant wait cuz imo, p+ is just better than melee as a game. like i love melee and i give it mad props for holding up so well with the only "updates" being the addition of stuff like UCF, but i personally find no reason to go back to melee now that theres a game that has like 90% of what melee has as well as more characters, stages, balance(by a long shot), accessibility, and its own unique tech.

If p+ gets matchmaking and rollback you mean. Itd be awesome, but it was a miracle it happened for melee. dont expect lightning to strike twice.

@@Okamikirby It's literally being developed right now, there's a functioning prototype for rollback. Matchmaking is simpler, especially since they're re-using lylatgg's existing infrastructure for that.

The dev team has made sooo many changes to fix in P+. They nerfed his up-B recovery distance and added lag to the bounce animation, nerfed his damage output on a lot of moves, nerfed his kill power by making knockback in moves worse, and they changed the properties of his shine so that it’s harder to kill with. Fox in P+ is combo food and get auto comboed for free by the majority of the cast. Not to mention, everyone already know how to play/combo Fox bc of Melee. Truly unfortunate :/

@@viceroi9332 Gonna disagree that the Fox changes were unfortunate. The changes you stated are true, but to me it represents a fair nerf approach to a character: Fox still has all the tools to succeed across all the MUs in P+, they're just a tad diluted so he isn't killing hella early like he does in Melee.

@@huntersnider9621 thing is, his kill power was reduced significantly, while most of the rest of the cast was given the polar opposite treatment, in fact I'd say a majority of the casts' bread and butter combos work best on spacies, maybe specifically by design. Fox is mid in p+ compared to the other spacies, most of the other melee characters in general, and in terms of combo ability, he gets fucked by like everyone in the game, it's crazy like he's still good but a few of the nerfs feel really bad going from melee to p+

@@franktyler8538 Not sure why those guys are struggling, you made a pretty simple statement. Yeah Magi probably plays better off stage. Melee doesn’t really allow people to be offstage for too long, and the newer games basically removed most offstage tension, so this is probably the only one you can have a ton of mileage recovering as a melee player.
