In the recent matches between Germany and Japan during Flick’s time, what Japan did (to my limited understanding) was to surround the pivots at all costs. Sacrifice the wings to protect the center, while aiming for counter attacks. I’m very curious to see if Hansi found a way to crack this during his year off. If so, I think we would be a competitive team.

As a Bayern fan I'm not familiar with Barcelona CBs and their ball playing capabilities. Alaba was so important for that Bayern team it was insane. He pierced perfect forward passes past opposition players into the feet of his team. Also, Boateng/Alaba long balls were able to spread the opposition. Alaba is the best ball playing cb in the world just based on his poise, passing and vision. The amount of times he covered for Davies on the left flank during that season was outstanding too. He was one of the main reasons Davies flourished in that role. Bayern are still trying to fill the void he left (upamecano, de ligt, kim min jae).

of course everyone is excited. anyway flick hasnt worked with the team yet so there are many possible twists and turns after he does and after the pre season is over. while everyone is talking about nico and kimmich and bla bla bla im more curious about how he sees the players he has in his hand and how much money he can save for the club, cuz for sure he has to find a way to make full use of what he has first, then any transfer later. like if he can somehow see a way he can fix fati and ferran (false 9 ferran?), or enough potential in casado

main reason he failed for national team is because his tactics also involve players to be physically ready for it but for national team he only has them for a month or 2. 1000% the reason why his tactics looked more possessional compared to his bayern days. but it still had the same profiles etc.

I think defnitely success. I think his style is more modern. We will defnitely score more goals with his high risk high reward mentality .. which means win more games

@@tacticsfcb3952 exactly i don't why some people are saying his style is so different from barca , he will fail , he will not utilize la masia imo he will 100% achieve success i don't know why but i can't see him failing with our soo good squad that just needs 2,3 players while all the other squad is pretty much like bayern and even better than bayern if our players perform at the highest level

What do you think this means for our fullbacks? Will flick want to keep Julian araujo so he can rotate between him and fort at right back? What about cancelo, do you see him staying? I think he would work great as a pivot/winger in flicks system, but definitely not a fullback.

I think verticiality solves that. But I dont think Laliga teams will fall for that. He likes to force teams to press. And thats his trap with vertical passes.

One player i don't know how he'd really fit in flick's tactics is Lamine since he enjoys hugging the touchline so much and flick encourages his wingers to invert with timed runs, i think that's something Lamine would have to learn but that's where Ansu Fati, Raphinha, Torres flourishes... we still might see the best in Fati. Also Lopez is going to have a lot of fun with this tactics especially if Balde somehow improves his crosses into the box

lets see if he can fix fati. i wouldnt mind giving him one last chance in the pre season. last pre season he showed a very decent and promising synergy with balde on the left wing and for sure balde is his only chance to save his barca career now. if fati can prove usable we might not have to splash 50mil on nico williams this summer at all, probably next summer and save some money for now

I very much doubt flick will succeed. He will face the same issues Xavi did. The board has some pet players like jao felix and vitor roque. If he doesn’t play them or tries to move them along there will be issues. And these guys take up wage bill space from players we really need. I don’t think its a coincidence that xavi was sacked after the whole roque scandal broke out. If a coach doesn’t have control of his squad there are always gonna be issues

@@deehazsnow3178 I am saying that the board meddles too much in player decisions. If roque is not ready to play he shouldn’t play because the board likes him. If jao Felix doesn’t work consistently and doesn’t do his off the ball work should he be in the squad because laporta likes him? And i said nothing of lewandowski but rumours was Xavi wanted him out which the board did not want. And now with flick all of them are staying surprise. So I believe Xavi was sacked not for his comments but the fact he wanted to make player changes and the board did not like it so they took a manager who said yes to all their favourite players. And that fore me is not a way to run a club. What if flick realises in a few months the same xavi sees it will be the same problem all over
