Believe it or not I've had the same tripod for over 30 years and this is the first time that I needed to do anything to it. Great tripod. Thanks.

They are good. I used one to hold the bench camera, and I have an even bigger model from my big betacam. That tripod was over 3000!

Lol same here. I put up with it for a while but now it's solid.

Looks like a nice design, simple adjustments. And its lasted a hell of a long time.

I have two Manfrotto stands that I use for stereo microphones during remote recording and this video is a great help if I have any slippage problems in the future.

thank you! I have a similar manfrotto, and one of the legs would slowly slip, so for awhile I'd only use the 2 other leg segment heights, as I rarely need the camera on a tripod at 6ft high. But of course yesterday I needed that height, and as I was gathering my stuff to leave at the end, while my camera was still on the tripod, it slipped enough under the weight of the camera and fell over but thankfully it had a soft landing and nothing broke.

I own the same Tripod , video was helpful, my legs were slipping

Good tripod - have a similar model very dependable.. and also a low end Manfrotto which is very annoying to use. I like the old 1950's pocket tripods that had the telescoping metal legs , I have one made in Germany and is very versatile and portable. I can't remember the name of it off hand.
