Thanks for this positive review for the Manfrotto BeFree. Your demonstration helped cinch my decision. I already use a larger carbon-fiber Manfrotto, with a similar style head, so it was a natural choice to stay with this hardware brand. It compares very well (weight, height, portability) with, for example, the PeakDesign, at a small fraction of the cost. One thing I did as soon as I received my new BeFee was to black out the carrying case. I used Goof Off to remove the branding; I masked it and used black enamel on the white vinyl cording, and black Neopaque acrylic paint to brush out the red. It looks great.

Finally a video which has answered all my questions about this tripod and the ball head(s) !!! Respect !

You can not go wrong for under $199 thanks for the review. please do more

Lever locks can also all be released at the same time. I find them to be faster to get set up but to each his own. Pros and cons to both I guess. Manfrotto needed to make this tripod taller so it would go at least 75 inches maximum height.

This was really helpful. I have an older tripod that's heavy and fine for stationary work but I was looking for something more portable for outdoor video.

I recently bought the “baby” version of this tripod, the Manfrotto Element Traveler Small. It doesn’t offer as many features as this one, but for my occasional photography use, I think it’s fine.

Hello. Do you consider this very tripod to be a very good option for a gimbal? I´ve just purchased the Moza Aircross 2 + Slypod E for my Sony a6400 with 16-50mm lens kit.

Hi! Do you think it is possible to attach an L Bracket or a Nodal Slide to this ballhead? I'm not sure if this quick release system will allow to use any other universal arca swiss accesory

Really awesome review man, might pick this one up. Do you have any suggestions on a tripod on which you can put the middle column horizontally? To take flat lays and do flat lay videos or is there a way I could do it with this tripod?

Hi, I’ve just purchased a tripod off a site, unfortunately they’ve given me a tripod with a mix and match of pieces. The head of the tripod is manfrotto and it didn’t come with the quick release plate, I’m wondering if you know where I can get that quick release plate from?

The first time i saw people attached mvh502ah on the befree tripod. I was wondering is it possible or not as i own the befree xpro gt (carbon). Was wondering is it able to attach 502ah or i need to buy the video tripod. Cause i only making video for my product review only using a7iv. Lock pan knob down. And it will twist off the 3/8 inch screw

This tripod I feel is little expensive - they should have added atleast a single level reading tool along with the main piece . Then it would be a worth to buy for this price .
