Mandy Moore and Ken Olin Break Down Rebecca’s Emotional ‘This is Us’ Goodbye | Making A Scene
Ойын-сауық
This spring, “This is Us” concluded the saga of the Pearson family with a series of emotional goodbyes. And the second-to-last episode, “The Train,” concluded the story of the family matriarch Rebecca (Mandy Moore) with an emotional episode dedicated to her passing on into the afterlife, one that takes the form of her entering the last carriage in a train. Speaking to Variety, Moore said she had nerves working on the scene and was relieved to work with series executive producer and frequent director Ken Olin.

Mandy Moore deserves an Emmy. This season is all the proof you need
Oh nooo I thought I was over it 😭😭😭. I love how this shows how available Mandy is, how in tune she is as an actress. She's so good and I hope she continues to have work that shows her incredible talent and hard work.
Such a beautiful show , amazing writing few pieces of art makes you cry everytime you watch gonna miss this show so much
Got me crying all over again!
Awww Ken your words on Mandy are so nice. We are fans too!
Such a beautiful episode of such a marvelous show... I was in tears the whole time while watching this episode..
Two moments that got to me where the two moments where she got told she did a good job by two people. The first with that Doctor Who did delivered the babies way back in 1980. And then the second was Jack telling her, “you did such a good job, thank you for taking on the rest of it without me, and as well as you did it“. That was so needed to hear that he liked the way she did the job after he passed the baton to her after his passing away. Confirming that she did such a great job and now she can be with the love of her life.
My god, Mandy Moore approached this episode in such a believable way. She is Rebecca Pearson, and we glimpsed her wonder at the situation she found herself in. Tentative, worried, that Kate had not arrived, and scared, she slowly made her way through the train, knowing her life is ending. It was incredibly moving and just beautiful. I loved it.
They mimicked that bed scene, from that special day that they had with their kids, on the train. But it also represented a mimicking of that start of the perfect day that they share together as a family and as husband and wife. And that’s perfect because they’re starting another “perfect day“ which is their journey in the afterlife.
This is the truth, finding a love story to live
its been weeks since the finale and watching this video has me crying all over again. If this doesnt win an emmy theres something seriously wrong.
