I'm a non believer. I'm a free thinker. I don't do religion period. Also I remind people of any race that I don't do religion. Especially among Black people. If a person ask me do I believe in god or what religion I belong to I will tell that person at a drop of a hat that I don't do religion.

I tuned in for Mandisa, but I learned a lot. I was unaware that Butterfly McQueen was a member of the secular community, as well as others. I also was a choir member in the Roman Catholic church, so I just sang, never worrying about the real content until I got older. Then it all seemed silly so I joined a band instead. Thanks for the great talk, keep up the good work!

I learned a lot from Mandesa. The hosts sounded like this was the longest they ever have spoken with a black.

With a black person. I think you meant to say “the hosts sounded like this was the longest they ever have spoken with a black person”.

This is great. I applaud you Mandisa. Religion has had a long ride in manipulating the mind for far too long. Best of luck to your programs.

Beautiful. 24:23 "I met one or two of your boys, and they were creative and talking and making up stories and writing screen-plays, they are really smart kids". I think that is a very high endorsement, coming from Dan. I remember Andrew Seidel, a very smart person himself, mentioned what an incredibly smart person Dan Barker is, so Dan ought to know really smart kids when he sees them. Just "Imagine" if all parents were educated free-thinkers what a different world this would be. Some people might wish for "Peace in the World" this time of year, which is a laudable wish, but what if instead a person with one wish asked for everyone to magically be educated freethinkers instead -- just "Imagine" how long that "Peace on Earth" would last, naturally. Maybe, therefore, "I wish everyone was secular, humanistic and highly educated on earth" is a much more profound wish and a longer lasting wish which would produce the same "Peace on Earth" goal. Religious person: "Well, Bob, I would wish for Peace on Earth." -- POOF, no more religion on earth. Religious person: "Well, I didn't consider that would have to happen."
