Hello everyone and welcome to Manchester again! We are embarking today on a journey from Manchester Victoria in the city centre to Manchester Airport (in the South of Greater Manchester region) abord the Manchester tram network, The Metrolink.
Manchester Metrolink is a tram network in Greater Manchester, England. The network has 99 stops along 103 kilometres (64 mi) of the standard-gauge route, making it the most extensive light rail system in the United Kingdom. The network consists of eight lines which radiate from Manchester city centre to termini at Altrincham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Bury, East Didsbury, Eccles, Manchester Airport, Rochdale and Trafford Centre. It runs on a mixture of on-street tracks shared with other traffic; reserved track sections segregated from other traffic, and converted former railway lines.

From Victoria what tram do you get to go airport please?

Just get the Airport line. When you go to the tram lines it is the line on the left. No neet to get confused with color lines or other things. It says Airport on the tram and it has a dedicated line at Victoria. And you get off at the last stop. It's end to end tram.

@@seekingtravelbut seriously, why aren’t there any line numbers like in every other tram / metro system in the world LOL Even the London Underground has a certain numbering scheme. It’s not that hard to pick numbers from 1 to 7.

@@SuperUnbenanntBecause at stations the next info boards clearly display when the next tram arrives and where its going to, along with the very obvious destination of where the trams going when the tram itself arrhves at the platform theres not really much need so "number" the lines
