I have to say the travelling support from Newcastle was unbelievable, there must have been 2000 !!! All with scarves and to be honest they were the fans who created the amazing atmosphere despite being outplayed by a far superior and experienced team

They were playing the equivalent of a league one team, Newcastle women are in the third tier of the women's football pyramid, this was not two equal sides going up against each other, it was David and Goliath and the underdog lost today. Would have been embarrassing for Man United WFC if they hadn't won

They both did admit that this was the test Newcastle needed - to see the experience of the WSL. You guys are where we were in 2018… you’ll get better players coming through eventually. I can't comprenhend this?! In my heart of hearts I think womens goal should be proportionally smaller than the men's goal, but even that wouldn't make a difference in this case

In football height isn't a requirement for your position for the most part. But being a keeper it's so important as the goal is like 20ft wide. So the fact most female keepers are below 5'8 is crazy.
