I loved this whole series of videos on the north of England - being a Mancunian myself I think you did a great job.....to all the prospective tourists watching this, remember there is so much more to the UK than just London.
My favorites were the Lake District and Hadrian's Wall. Amazing series all around!
Ahhh the quality of your videos always inspire me to make my vlogs/travel guides better, ty ty you two
Yes, the Lake District was definitely my favorite ! loved the series overall. You guys are the best!!!
As a born and bred Mancunian, now living in the USA, I have to say I enjoyed the tour. Made me a little homesick. In my experience, visitors to the UK overlook the major Northern cities altogether. As far as they are concerned, London IS England, and if they venture North at all, it is to York and/or Edinburgh, and that is about it. So, thanks for at least showing that the UK has a lot to offer, not least in those "industrial cities," which have, in reality, done a lot better job re-inventing themselves in recent years than many of their American post-industrial counterparts. As for those pissed off about the reference to Manchester's being the UK's "second city." Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. Who cares. Population size. Economy size. All that. Doesn't matter. It's petty. It's the cultural vibrancy of a city that makes it hum, not statistics on relative "size." And the fact is, Birmingham may be the UK's second city by size, but Manchester's football, its music, its arts scenes have put it light years ahead of Birmingham for decades now. Maybe that will change, or is changing. But as of now, Manchester deserves the accolade. Manchester is a great city. And so is Liverpool. Leeds. Newcastle, etc.

Musically, Birmingham gave us The Moody Blues, Napalm Death, Judas Priest, ELO, Black Sabath, Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Beat, UB40 and Duran Duran, among others. So not sure it's a clean victory for Manchester there. Very similar cities: post industrial; both blue-collar with lots of canals and Victorian era buildings etc.

@@jamesmason8436 The Smiths, New Order, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Oasis. Manchester's music is slightly better or the same as Brum's.
Another fabulous series! Love that you are always mixing history in with the new. Your enthusiasm and intelligence always come through in your videos and help to make them so good. Can't wait to see what's next!
My idea of travelling is getting as hammered as possible and not dying.
aw HANNAH!! Great video once again, i cannot tell you how much i've enjoyed this series! This past summer me and my sister did a big trip all over the UK and this is just reminding me of all of the wonderful places over there!
Ohhh you fellas are so so lucky to have travelled and done so much. I'm a Mancunian and proud of it no end. The places you've been to look fabulous, I've been to some but not others. We are very lucky. Glad you had a brill time😊
This is ace! I'm from Manchester but living in Austria on a year abroad and your cab drivers accent was so comforting to hear 😂 🙌🏼 common for their ales. Lovely vid, guys!
i love the northern quarter - i got to go do a piece there!! great video

it baffles me every time i watch a VagaBrothers video you guys really make quality in depth content the thing that baffles me where are the viewers people are seriously missing out
Just discovered the marvelous Vagabrothers. Especially loved the Hadrian's Wall visit. Also, the Celtic history, and eye-opening travels in the Lake District. Love your adventuresome spirits!
hey guys, awesome video! really made me remember the year I spent in Manchester! I made a hole bunch of videos on the year I spent living there, also exploring England and stuff! Great to see the places you guys went to and really wishing to go back to the north of England to explore some more cool places i've never been to!
I reaaally liked this episode and this series as a whole! Ya'lls videos have inspired me so much and are just reinforcing the idea that I picked the right major (international studies) to pursue. Can't wait to see where you two are headed next...happy travels!
I've watched all of your videos and it's great to see that some Americans travel out of London and see the other England, thank you very much

I loved the whole series, you did such a good job. Thank you for making us know more about the North of England. I've never been but now I know I must visit! Xo
Has been great watching all these vlogs - Lindisfarne and the standing stones were my favourite, Also loved 'haunted' York
Just watched the entire series in one go, you guys rock! I'm a Southerner, but have visited the North on holidays, but you take it to the next level. Loved the lake District episode, such a beautiful place. Keep it up guys, best series on KZread by far.
Wohoo...almost at a 100k subs - great to see how you grew your channel since 2014! It shows how HQ travel video is working when you have a real passion for it and put loads of work into it. Looking forward to catching up with you guys soon!
Amazing series, guys! I really enjoyed watching it and learned a lot, many thanks for making it! Got a lot of inspiration for my travels from it. I have to agree with Alex, the historical sights were amazing, I dig that as well. Can't wait to watch more series!

You guys are so much fun! Really enjoyable video & I didn't know about Ziferblat need to go check it when I go for a visit
I loved this series! You did a great job. And what's good is that if you come back there's still so much more to explore and learn. Shame you missed out on Newcastle, though! The city centre and quayside are gorgeous. A lot of my friends from the northwest came over a couple of years ago and said it reminded them of London, which I thought was an interesting comparison. I'm glad you both had such a good time while you were here!
Excellent quality guys , amazing work , my favorite part was the Lake district .. Every time I see your videos you inspire me to travel and see all the world .. Thanks for sharing .. Son los mejores ..
You two are my favorite travelling geeks (in a good way) everrr!!!
Nice work guys, series was great. The north of England isn't often chosen for stuff like this but you showed it off in style. Loving the videos!
Ta ta for now or TTFN! I enjoyed you two and the North of England a lot. You went to and explained the histories of places I had only heard about to the point that I feel almost an expert. Of course, for me, the food and ale are very interesting. I usually had to have a meal and a drink after watching. Ahhh. Interestingly, my great-grandfather owned barges on the Grand Union Canal which went north to such places as Manchester which interested me a lot. He and his family lived rather comfortably at the London terminus, now called Little Venice, a stone's throw from Abbey Road where the Beatles' album cover featured them crossing the road. I shall miss seeing your excellent coverage of England's north but look forward with much anticipation to your upcoming adventures. Well done you!
you guys made a manchester episode without even talking about manchester's music? thats weird so many great bands came from there like the smiths, joy division, oasis, stone roses etc etc...

great vlog guys. would love and will definitely visit England
Manchester, especially the fish market turned into a space to showcase local artist. But all of the series was quite lovely and each place held its own.
Love the idea of Ziferblat! Inspired idea! Great series chaps such beautiful footage. York my favourite but I lived there for awhile so tiny bit biased 😉 Cheerio! xx
Top series lads with history, culture, present day and our quirks in 10 min vids and good to see you testing so many of our ales, next time please do Yorkshire Dales in summer, best countryside and beer bar none. Thanks
Can't wait for the next series
I love how y’all added Hannah because I already knew her and had watched her and felt so “in”👌🏻
Love learning new things about where I live! This whole series is fab! I can't say much for Newcastle as I still need to tick that one off myself (later this year) but you guys would have loved Sheffield too!
Really enjoyed this, well put together and full of interesting facts even for a brit like myself who hasn't been to any of these places. you struck just the right balance. Brilliant. !
I LOVE HANNA WITTON. Her vlogs are amazing and she's amazing.
Liverpool was the best part of the series....I love your work vegabrothers
Awesome video series! Thank you.
loved it all but i agree with Alex.. always wanted to see Hadrian's Wall! awesome series guys! can't wait for the next one! xo #safetravels
Great videos and I love the enthusiasm shown about my Country especially by Americans not just getting on the London Eye and whinging about driving on the 'wrong' side of the road. Seek out "Steve & Jodi's" posts for similar. The only sad thing, for someone who remembers you only had to travel 10 miles out of London to hear changes in accents, is the lack of them in these excellent vlogs. I would not have pegged Hannah or anyone else as Mancunian. Oh well, television I suppose but it is a pity.
Loved the series, so much information I didn't know about a country that is only a Ferry trip away from here.
The quality of your videos is next level. Seriously. I've loved seeing my country through your eyes :)
northern england is so great place. ı wanna got to there .thank you so much for video
Fantastic series, you guys should be on the travel channel. Congrats on all the subscribers! I'm heading to The Netherlands for 3 months for my own adventure 😉❤️

vagabrothers . Lake District was probably favourite, but did enjoy them all, great job guys, makes you appreciate what is on your own doorstep. Thanks
These two make me so jealous of not having a brother. hahaha this entire series has been nothing but an incredible journey! England has always been one of the most historically and culturally rich countries in the world and seeing it's history and how it is culturally evolving today is quite a very educational experience. I love it! hands down to the two of you!
Amazing series guys! Well done!
I liked the trip to the slate mine and the tight-roping in the Lake District. I've been several times to the Lakes but never done that type of stuff there...
I'm like Alex. The part with the Castle and the Hadrien's wall ... amazing ! I'm a huge history and book lover and Hardien's wall has been on my bucket list for a long time. I've been to England before and I fell hard in love with this country. It's still my big crush for now and I can't wait to go back oneday. You're videos just make me more impatient to go !! Great job I love it.

I'm a new subscriber and I already love your videos! And I didn't know there was a Ziferblat in Manchester also. The one in Liverpool is one of my favourite spots to spend time :D
Manchester becoming a place people want to go and visit. Finally the world's gone bonkers. I'd like to live somewhere sunny with money and just visit from time to time. Everywhere is great on vacation. One love MCR.
Hye guys i just want to say your Northern vlogs have been on point. Your certainly missed out on Newcastle it is one of my favourite cities!! my local city is Liverpool and you have shown me even more places to visit and try out. thank you so much for your vlogs and i look forward to seeing you guys over here again. Maybe visit chester next time your over :)
You ask for a favo(u)rite moment, don't have one, plain and simple; I enjoy tagging along like a dorky cousin to watch what you get up to, see the enthusiasm (caffeine?) surface at certain times and so I have come along for the entire ride. I'm here because of your meet up with the High on Life team a wee while back, have stayed because I like the 'vibe'/'feel'/'authenticity'/'style'/'friendliness'/'laid-backness' (see can't quite find the right word can I iykwim).
I was in manchester that weekend too,my first time in manchester, nice video😄👍❤
Eup lads love your videos especially Leeds it's my home town. If you ever go back to Leeds theres Royal Armories and Temple Newsom and National Coal Museum . Keep up the good work lads 👍👍👍👍👍

Yesterday in city we drop our receipt leaving the store, enforcement take our identification and both me and fiance each issue the fine £150. This is correct process?
If you go again, and its sunny (haha), get drinks in the gay village on Canal street. Doesn't matter whether you are gay or not really, it is just a really nice part of the city to go for a drink and lots of historical buildings around that area.. also sometimes they will have food trucks and street food in piccadilly gardens not far from Canal street... oh and China Town and Northern Quarter are right by there

Hi travelers, How is it going? Big thanks for covering an amazing city in North Uk. By the way I am Mohammed from Oman. Why I am here because you are hanging around in my favorite city. Actually I have been in Manchester twice, first time for studying and second time was 3 weeks ago for visiting. I love everything in Manchester, except the weather but it does not matter for me. I called Manchester the city that never sleep. Kind people, unbelievable nightlife, Manchester United team. Also I have been in many cities in the Uk like York, Liverpool, Chester ,Blackpool, Nottingham, Lake District, Peak District, Cardiff, fog city (London), Preston and some countryside but I love Manchester even more than London 😊.
Loved this video! Wish I could just follow you guys around.
