same, i have thought about photoshopping what manchester may look lke in say 100 years

I am grateful to your video. I am so proud of our City. Manchester is one of the top cities to visit and we are in the 21st century and beyond. Victorian and 60s Manchester was also amazing, but nothing stands still. I love it and seeing it from this angle is fantastic...well done and thank you.

such a great city and this video shows its growth and development so well. Very Cinematic

I’ve worked in Manchester City centre for 10 years now and even seeing it every day I’m still blown away at the rate of change in the city. Apart from London I don’t think there is anywhere else in the U.K. with this level of development, and there’s still loads more to come. It’s not perfect, but I love living there....great footage too, really shows how things have changed in just two years!

I used to work in Manchester until just under 3 years ago & everytime I've been back since it's just blown me away & there's no end in sight... Crazy & amazing! Great footage by the way

The city is growing at a phenomenal rate. It's hard to keep up. Thankfully we have people like ADMR cataloguing that change with such amazing footage.

Good vid ,great views, could you try approach from cheetham Hill rd,Rochdale road, gives really good views of the whole skyline from North/West of city,Also if piss make videos little longer from each flight path if possible gives a chance to take it all in.Good work well done.

I did this as my first manchester skyline video from 2 years ago i had comments saying it felt too long haha. Just have to watch it a few time or pause it. I have watched this back many times and paused to take it all in and see each tower etc :) Andy

@@droneuk ye its just that northern edge of the city centre near the cis which is in the no fly zone. Owen street area is fine. Im going to watch other video now if its half as good it will be great.

anthony elmer cheers Tony, no no trouble, I flew safe and the right distance from tall buildings and below 400feet etc. I was near the prison I think at one point but did not know this when filming, someone m filmed it after so I would never do this again

Hey Andy another great video my friend, quick question when you vlog before seeing drone footage, are you filming in 4k on your new camera or up scaling 1080p to 4k. Reason I'm asking is because I'm struggling which camera to buy, I almost have enough for my macbook pro, can't wait, it's just the camera I'm struggling with at the moment.

Thanks for the comment :) i use a Panasonic Lumix G80 with 12-60mm lens. Its decent for the money. For this i just filmed in 1080 and upscaled, which is why it doesnt look that great in low light. Outside is good enough. I may try 4k next time. The camera only does 4k with 30fps max so when i want slower footage i have to use 1080 at 60fps

Go 4k Media this is the one I bought as you need this spec to film 4K, I have a 32GB and seems enough to me to film say 30odd mins of 4K but if you have 2/3+ batteries then 64GB is a must to be safe. Obviously the Mavic 2 does have 8GB of internal

@@Westyggx yeh its tricky in built up areas, luckily im over near marple next to Derbyshire so not far to travel to be more in the countryside. best place is a big park to mess around. But for myself i like to film features maybe like a bridge, or a famous local walk with rock formations etc.

Whilst never being a fan of exclusivity and things being built that are certainly not for the likes of most of us the trickle down effect on Manchesters economy from getting as many high end dwellers in the actual city as possible ensures Manchester continued survival as a prime retail and services city even in the face of those things (retail at least) in decline almost everywhere else

Manchester is the second city.......🤓 without doubt

@@droneuk Yh saw that one. I think this one turned out better. The quality of the other one isn't as good as this. Maybe the bitrate wasn't as high from the drone or in export perhaps. Plus the grade in this one I prefer. More flatter and less contrasty. Can't wait till the next one!

Thanks for sharing...great video. But, really this is all about climate change isn't it? First, the migratory patterns of cranes, followed immediately by an influx of skyscrapers. Next come the drones.

Yes & No Ofcourse the population is growing rapidly but so is Manchester's International business links making it as an alternative to London in some cases first choice for multinational companies which had been drastically improved in recent years with the City Airport opening up direct flights to China, New York, LA, & other major business centres.

Thanks Britman. I just looked to stay away from the tall buildings at the correct distance and also some shots may look closer than they were as the drone was set to the closer angle and i sometimes crop in to give the impression its closer :)

Prerna Khemani hello Prerna, well you need to be registered with the CAA to own and fly a drone in the UK but not sure if visiting. If you were to film in a city I would not advise it but with my video I filmed on the outskirts so did not need permission from the city council.

Thank you Rob. I took off from parks or open land which is yet to be developed so i did not disturb anyone and there was no one to be seen as i was very early in the morning. Can't remember them all but the main one was Hulme Park. From these i just stuck to the drone rules 400feet, 50m from properties etc. I want to get myself tested and certificated so i can fly professionally but i find it hard to know exactly what i need to do. Its not made clear. Andy

@@droneuk Try Rochdale ed, if coming from town about half a mile or so.up Rochdale ed there are a few brownish clad tower blocks on left,plenty of space e there. Or for more scope further up you will come to Mays pawnshop on your right, opposite it to your left is an open green, a good spot.for a Northside panorama. Hope of some use?

oh awesome. What does he do there? i contacted the office there the other week and a lady spoke to me and said she would pass on my details but not heard anything back yet. It was about seeing if someone would allow me to visit the top of the South Tower to make a video for Skyscraper lovers to watch and see the view first person. Its such an iconic Building for Manchester now and the South Tower being the 5th largest in the UK i would love the opportunity to show others the views of the City. Andy
