City had 5 left footed players playing here - Owen, Hartford, Power, Kidd and Barnes. I can't remember many teams where nearly half of the 11 were left footed.

Ritchie was a great player who didn't want to leave United, but was sold by Sexton to Brighton so that Peter Ward could be sold to Nottingham Forest so that Gary Birtles could be sold to United. 😖

City player handballed off the line at 13:26. So the offside ruling surely rather lucky for them? They should have kept Peter Barnes. Anyway, United in the 70s along with Barry Davies' voice seem to keep me perfectly content these days. The power of nostalgia..

Hi there have you got the clip of Joe Jordan's winning goal in the previous September of that season (1978) i was sat at the top row of the stand behind the goal (k stand). vs city?
