Ladakh road routes open from May onwards(Zoji la), and June onwards(Manali leh)

Hello! I had been planning for a winter trip on a 4wheel drive in snow on manali-leh highway since a long time. can you guide me about the precautions and also the permits necessary? and generally rothang pass is closed in winters how is it possible to get there?

You won't be able to reach Rohtang. In early March you can go till Gulaba, mid april Marhi becomes accessible and then mid may, Rohtang opens. Once Rohtang is open, permits can be had at Gulaba on the spot. That said, NGT is upto some hanky panky. So rules keep changing. There is the also local taxi people who influence the rules etc.,

where do u live ? it's not fixed time to snow. if u live up to Delhi u can come whenever u hear abt snowfall in news. or try Accuweather for Manali before org as hiding trip. mostly is will snow in Jan and Feb

Sometime snow can be hard to come by because of global warming etc. But once it come it will last for week or two. But roads will be clear by govt. Next day so u need to be there

One doubt bro I'm planning to visit leh from manali on January 2021 by Himalayan bike. Is it possible to reach leh from manali via Atal tunnel?? Please give your valuable reply

i done leh many time on my car bro so have experience,the road to Rohtang pass is not easy in snow covered road,or how you go there when the road is cloed by govt

+Neeraj Kamboj its possible when road is straight and pakka. try in bit if elevation or muddy..... u will have to drive without brakes.
