The new road tools and functionality are just so so slick. I got tired of having to engineer every intersection/interchange with TMPE , IMT and node controller in CS that I just had to stop playing, hoping and praying that CS2 would be improved. Really excited to see what we can build seamlessly with these new tools. It is gonna take a lot of the tediousness/headache out of constructing your roads

18:20 According to the legend the color indicates the telecom coverage. As the tower becomes more surrounded by buildings and stuff, you get worse coverage, as the radio waves can't travel in straight lines as easily. A radio tower in an empty field has great coverage, but there's no one to receive the signal. A radio tower surrounded by skyscrapers has pretty bad coverage, but there are a lot of people who are nearby enough to receive the signal. That's at least how I interpret how it works.

Regarding the cell tower map indicator, I think it's a connection capacity indicator. That's why it's green in the unoccupied spaces, no people, so lots of connections available. In the downtown core you need enough towers to carry the capacity requirements, so multiple towers to make it green.

  • @krisculin9679

RE: Communication Tower - It goes green because the elevation increases and gives better coverage. When you go into your downtown, the elevation is lower, and it can't reach as far. This is based on viewing other channel part 2 videos.

18:32 I believe each tower has a radius of coverage (the circle) and a speed that it offers. If you have 1 terabyte per tower, and there are only two households using the tower, each gets 500GB, so they're green and super happy. If you put that on a very high density, people will get slower and slower shares since there will be too many people connected to the same tower. If the share ends up too small, it won't be green. I believe a single tower like that would be good for low residential, but your high residential definitely needs something stronger (or many updates).

Pelican is a pedestrian light controlled crossing. A crossing with traffic lights that the pedesteian presses and waits for lights to chnage before crossing. Which to be fair isn't marked the way it does in game in uk. The stripes are for zebra crossing which is jst a crossing with no traffic lights, sometimes it has a yellow light to signal its there. you wait for cars to stop at (as they have to) and you cross.

In some cases it’s understandable because an upgrade module replaces the parking, but in many cases it feel really unrealistic, especially in European builds for instance. I wish parking was either treated independently (like the normal, ploppable parking lots) or as a building module that can be added or removed.

The one thing I've noticed in all of these cs2 game plays is that money is no longer an issue. Is there anything to spend all that money on or is it just going to be an insane amount of money with no real purpose.

Money is a huge concern. I built a hospital in once save and it bankrupted my city. Overbuilding is punished very hard.

Those pedestrian islands are very functional, especially when trams get involved. In fact. Make sure you havw access to a pedestrian island where your tram stops are, or they will not be able to board. Learned this the really, really fucking hard way. You're welcome.

Are the alleyways functional? Does parking, deliveries and pickups go to the alleyway; or are they just narrow slow stroads?

The alleys are normal roads that are half as wide with no parking.
