Management of the Third Stage of Labour in Hindi (हिंदी) | Normal Labour | Nursing Lecture
In this video, The management of the Third Stage of Labour is explained here in Hindi, which begins with the delivery of the Fetus and ends with the delivery of the placenta and its membranes and this is very crucial to manage if not done properly can cause PPH, Inversion of the Uterus as complications.
One can manage it with the 2 methods-
1. Expectant Management- Wait & Watch constantly to deliver out the placenta and its membrane spontaneously. It takes 15-20 min. to complete.
2. AMTSL (Active Management of the Third Stage of Labour) - It takes 5-10 min. to complete. Acc. to WHO 4 components are -
a) Use of Uterotonics- Preferably the oxytocin, I/M 10 units or instead use misoprostol 600 mcg orally.
b) Delayed Cord Clamping for 1-3 min. or until the cord pulsation stops.
c) CCT (Controlled Cord Traction /Modified Brandt Andrew method)
d) Postpartum Vigilance - After delivery of placenta in every 15 min. for at least 2 hrs.
