The comparative Income statement is a statement prepared to get an idea of the progress of a business. The changes in absolute data in money values and percentages help to analyze the profitability of a business.
Comparative Income statement has four columns. First two columns give figures of various items for two years. 3rd and 4th columns are used to show increase or decrease in figures, in absolute amounts and percentages respectively.
